"I'll go back tonight." Bella Scott replied softly.
If Mila Gray got Gray's Mansion back, should Bella still leave Philadelphia? After all, Gray's Mansion was Mila's home. It wouldn't make sense for her to move to West Grove and live in a cramped second-hand apartment, would it?
That's what she was struggling with now.
Mila was a little surprised at Bella's sudden return, but remembering that Mikel was Bella's informant, it seemed quite normal.
While helping in the kitchen, Bella looked at Mila's busy figure, her eyes warm: "I misunderstood you all these years, Mom. I'm sorry."
She had always thought that Mila was inherently weak, but it turned out she was shouldering humiliation and burden. Bella hadn't understood Mila's painstaking efforts, thinking that she could fight the world with her fists ─ always causing trouble. No wonder they say, experience comes with age, right?
