"Tsk tsk tsk, what do you mean by 'final dinner'? What kind of speech is that?" Bella Scott interrupts Cecelia Anderson.
Maybe she's superstitious, as she's been afraid to hear certain words like "death" lately, and shudders when she hears them.
Cecelia laughs: "I didn't think you were so superstitious."
"What do you know? Some things can't be said casually. This is just our final meal together in this house. Tomorrow is the celebration for Linda Yao's success, the day after tomorrow my mom and I are moving to West Grove, and I probably won't be coming back anytime soon," Bella says, feeling a bit sentimental.
This is the city where she was born and raised, and she grew up in this house. Yet, one day, she has to leave her hometown, which is scary to think about.
"Nowadays, transportation is so convenient. If you want to come back, just fly! What are you afraid of?" Cecelia turns to Mila Gray and smiles warmly: "Mom, right?"
