"Since you are an honored guest, I must ensure that you return home safely." Edward Anderson said, standing up, ready to accompany Bella Scott home.
Bella didn't want to be alone with Edward and subconsciously tried to decline: "I drove here myself..."
"Are you feeling guilty? Or are you afraid of letting me know where you live?" Edward eyed Bella coldly.
Bella stared back at Edward and suddenly asked, "Do you like me?!"
Otherwise, why would he use such a childish provocation? Was it supposed to work on her?
Edward was taken aback, then sneered three times: "Don't flatter yourself! I already have a woman I love, and I will only love her this lifetime..."
"You mean your short-lived ex-wife, right? I heard you killed her—" Bella didn't finish her sentence when she noticed the changes in Edward's expression.
By the time Edward made a move, she had already dodged his sudden attack.
Edward's palm strike missed, much to his surprise.
