TRAPPED....

Elena paced back and forth in her room, feeling like a prisoner. She had tried to leave, but Richard had made it clear that she wasn't going anywhere.

"You're not safe out there," he had said, his eyes glinting with a mixture of concern and control.

Elena had tried to argue, but Richard had just laughed and told her that she didn't remember the danger that lurked outside the mansion walls.

As she paced, Elena's mind wandered back to the fight they had earlier. She had been so angry, so scared, and Richard had just laughed and told her that she was overreacting.

But as she thought back, Elena realized that Richard had been angry too. His eyes had flashed with a fierce intensity, and his voice had been low and menacing.

"You don't remember anything, do you?" he had spat, his face inches from hers. "You don't remember me, or us, or anything."
