Orcs retaliation

With great power comes great danger, Ominous's force was growing by the day, lizard men joining in every day, the desert was vast, and the lizard men had the same fertility as goblins

each female could lay 6 to 8 eggs every 2 months and the reason for that is that they were hunted by most creatures in this desert, they had to be numerous to survive the threat of orcs, scorpions, hyenas, basilisks and manticores

it made them adapt to a life of danger and survival by having many offsprings, most parent's died protecting the new generation only for that to repeat, they were stuck in a vicious circle.

Ominous was the savior bringing salvation and power to the lizard men, so they flocked to him like moths to a flame

he soon discovered that the reason some lizard men had faint dragon blood is that a long time ago some dragon men (the result of a male dragon having sex with a humanoid female creature) had rejected their degenerated offsprings and banished them to live in this desert and the result of the degenerated dragon men slowly became lizard men.

The demonized lizard men tribe attracted the attention of hostile forces too, Gul'ban and his shamans were not going to let the destruction of one of their affiliated tribes slide, a shaman died and someone had to pay

the orcs took their anger on random lizard men shelters and tribes in the desert as they didn't know who exactly was responsible, ominous had hidden his forces well with magic after evolving, only a lizard men guide could take you there

the massacre that started only helped Ominous to gather more lizard men as they had no other choice now, it was either they joined this new lizard men tribe with a godlike figure in charge or faced the anger of the orcs.

Ominous lade low for a while and accumulated more men and more strength as he was improving his Deadric energy, one of his experiment was letting female and male lizard men with the most dragon like features mate together

he even started to fuse his energy and demonize the resulting eggs as soon as they were laid, a lot of eggs were ruined in his experiment, but it was fine they served as food for him

After many failures Ominous succeeded in creating a new type of Draconic demon, it was a larvae imp with dragon like features as soon as he had good results he had another visit by mother abyss who congratulated him on making his own demon servants

the abyss blessed his dragon imps with the gift of growth and improvement just like other demonized races that joined the abyss, so that they could grow with him and serve him better, he decided to name them the Deadra race a race that would serve him and worship him as their Deadric god

with his creation becoming a race recognized by the abyss itself and him naming this race he felt something forming inside of him like a proof or recognition of him being the owner of this race

he understood that it was a pseudo racial priesthood that only a god who created a race could have, it gave him near total control over that race, and he would always gain faith from them even if they worshiped other gods

the race was still small only having 43 members to it and that's why the Deadric priesthood as he decided to call it was still a pseudo priesthood, once this new race grew in numbers and strength the pseudo priesthood will grow into a full on priesthood that he could use to ascend to godhood.

The lizard men were awed by their new offsprings and by the power of Ominous, but they felt that they had to work harder to keep up with the master as not to be abandoned

the lizard men that had learned magic kept on teaching the others and the new offspring how to use it, the new Deadric race albeit having the arrogance of the dragons and the evil cunning of the demons got along with the lizard men race as they felt it would be beneficial for the master

Ominous noticed that Deadra were born with a weak version of the Deadric heart, so they excelled in magic their energy was like an off brand off his lacking the faith part but having a mix of magic, demonic vitality and shamanic emotion

few months after they were born they stopped growing at 2 m or 2.5 m tall, but they were much stronger than lizard men crushing even the strongest demonized ones in one on one brawls, they had unique tattoos and runes all over their body like their master with 2 wings on their back and a tail, they had dragon like faces with 2 huge horns.

Meanwhile, the Orcs were still looking for the culprits it took them 3 years of searching to finally pinpoint Ominous's base, Ominous's force had grown to 350 000 demonic lizard men more or less and 10 000 Deadra all trained and ready for battle, the Deadra were now the ruling class of the force managing and controlling everything under Ominous's iron fist, with their management the camp became a magic fortress easy to defend hard to attack full of magic traps all over.

The Orcs brought an army numbering 600 000 orcs all armed to the teeth, Gul'ban could be seen at the helm of the army with his entourage of guards and shamans, compared with the other Orcs he was gigantic, a 6 m giant with black robes hiding his face with a hood only green glowing eye's could be noticed

his absorption of the savage orc's faith was the cause of his size no doubt, one could feel a heavy suppression from him just by looking at him, the orc's army was 2 km away, as they approached the 1 km mark, magic trap and formations started to activate under their feet going off and exploding in flame, thunder or ice, killing and injuring orcs in the thousands.

Gul'ban didn't care about these losses and ordered his army to go forward, the casualties of the orcs kept on piling up until they arrived to the magic reinforced sand wall of the fortress, the shamans focused a unified spell to breach the wall with an explosion

with an opening the orc's army poured into the fortress only to find it empty, now with the orcs inside, the hidden lizard men attacked from both sides of the orc's army flanking it and squeezing it, the lizard men had been hidden in tunnels they had prepared under the orders of the Deadra

as the bloody battle started the orcs were already at a disadvantage because of the losses they suffered due to the magic traps and the ambush, their numbers had dwindled from 600 000 to 280 000, and it was still falling sharply, Gul'ban and his shamans started to buff and strengthen the orcs.

The battle was starting to shift to the side of the orcs, they became harder to kill, there wounds would stop bleeding on their own because of the shamans buffs, and it would take 3 lizard men just to kill an orc

the fortress started to fill up with the blood of orcs and the demonic blood of the lizard men, a big magic formation started to slowly lit up with blood patterns and abyssal runes, this formation was feeding on the blood and souls of the soldiers killed on both sides of the battle

Ominous and his Deadra worked hard to set up this sacrificial formation to open a portal to the abyss, once the formation activated it would trap all the creatures inside until it consumed enough souls, magic and blood to open the world portal.

Gul'ban noticed the trap and bombarded the magic barrier with his fits and faith energy, a choc wave spread with the roar of the 6 m tall beast as he realized he couldn't break free

Ominous was standing outside the formation with his 10 000 Deadra and the most excellent lizard men wish amounted to 40 000, they were all in charge of keeping the formation's performance at its peak and keeping the other's inside

to get rid of the savage orcs all lizard men were ready to sacrifice, they didn't see anything wrong with Ominous methods, who would want to fight a 6 m giant who spent years enjoying the power of faith, Ominous wouldn't fight fair, and he would enjoy his revenge from the safety outside the barrier.

He stood smiling directly in front of Gul'ban from the outside of the barrier, he materialized a holographic image of Lydia's head using light magic to shape it and showing it to Gul'ban, he wanted Gul'ban to know why he was plotted against and why he would die miserably

as soon as Lydia's face was materialized the orc took only a brief moment before his eyes widened as he understood the cause and effect of this bad karma

with a middle finger to the orc in true human fashion Ominous activated his slave mark on the lizard men inside the barrier that were still fighting, giving them a death order causing them to go into a berserk frenzy, making the battle more chaotic and bloody, they didn't care about survival any more only killing was on their minds.

It took Gul'ban a moment before realizing that he himself was under attack from all sides by crazy lizard's, slowly the battle turned quiet as the only survivors were Gul'ban and some of his Guards, the Guards were hanging to life by a thread but Gul'ban was still alive and kicking only some minor injuries on his body

the bastard was tenacious like a cockroach, Gul'ban looked at Ominous and spoke

"your conspiracy has failed, and your men are dead, demon open this barrier and fight me in a duel"

He failed to notice a sky-high red world portal had opened behind him, before he even noticed a blood lance pierced his head and exploded his brains all over the barrier.
