Si Yehan and Si Xia were having breakfast.

"I'll be leaving in two days" Si Yehan said breaking the silence.

Si Xia didn't react and just continued eatiing.

Si Yehan sighed. It has been three days since they came back and Si Xia has been even more so silent and cold towards him.

He wouldn't even spare him a glance unless he had somthing important to say and whenever he'd ask him something or talk to him his only response would be a nod.

Si Xia would spend most of his time in his study or the library and would only come out when necessary like when he had to eat or when Xi Feng came for his usual checkup.

The entire place would be as quiet as a graveyard, it was as if the servants had a tactic agreement to do their work quietly.

It had a somber feeling and he was worried it'd affect Si Xia.

He felt really helpless and useless as he didn't know what to do.

"Umm... So you'll be going back to school next month right?"

Si Xia's hand that was holding his chopsticks paused momentarily.

Even if it was just a second Si Yehan noticed "You don't want to go?"

No response.

"You know I'm not a mind reader, I can't know what you want without you saying something."

What I want?

Si Xia put down his chopstick and picked up his writing tab.

Si Yehan sat up straight and looked at him eagerly.

Finally.

Si Xia turned the writing tab towards him. 'Mommy' was what he wrote.

"I-I can't bring her back you know" Si Yehan lowered his head and said in a low voice.

Si Xia put down the writing board with an indifferent expression and continued with his meal.

....

"How's Si Xia?" Xi Feng asked

"The same" Si Yehan walked in looking listless. They were in Si Yehan's study.

He sat down and took out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket, he took one out and lit it.

"You've been smoking a lot lately" Xi Feng looked at him and frowned.

One was suffering from psychological trauma and the other from depression. This woman really made some impact.

He sighed. "Has there been any change in Si Xia's actions?"

"Not really. He's usually either in his study or the library. He hasn't been communicating much with me but he seems quite stable."

"He hasn't been talking to you?"

"Mhm, he only does so when he has something important to say otherwise he usually treats me like air."

*Does he still blame you?"

"It would be right for him to do so since it is my fault"

"You shouldn't be too hard on yourself, it's not your fault. It's not like you could've predicted what would happen."

"But I could've prevented it"

Xi Feng shook his head. He pondered for a while before saying "Umm.... Si Yehan, you know, there's a way you can help Si Xia and yourself too."

Si Yehan looked at him with a raised brow.

Xi Feng was in a dilemma, he didn't know if he should say this or not.

Well he'd already brought it up.

"Ahem, I think it'd be best for both of you if you umm.... you know, remarry."

Immediately he said this, the temperature dropped and he could feel Si Yehan's cold gaze on him.

"I think it's about time you take your leave" His voice was deep and carried a hint of danger.

A chill ran down Xi Feng's spine but he couldn't give up. As a doctor he'd do his best to make sure he could help his patients.

Other than that, Si Yehan was a close friend of his, he couldn't just watch him be like this.

"Ah-Ye hear me out first, Si Xia needs a mother figure he's still young and well it would also benefit you....."

"Shut the door when you leave."

Before he could finish what he was saying, Si Yehan interrupted him and walked out of the study.

He sighed and wiped the layer of sweat that had formed on his forehead.

"Well, that went well. Si Yehan this is for your own good, you can't bring her back."

Si Yehan knew he was just saying that because he cared and that's why he didn't lash out. He just couldn't bring himself to do it and he was sure Si Xia would refuse also.

......

"So, what did Ah-Ye say? Is Little Xia talking now?" Su An asked anxiously as Si Ming walked in.

"Si Xia is fine but he isn't talking." He sighed and sat down.

"My poor baby."

"Auntie, what's wrong?" Gu Shiyuan walked in with a spring in her step.

Everything has been going well in the company and her career was back on track. Shooting would officially start next month so she had some free time.

She came to ask Su An out for shopping when she saw her pained expression.

"Ah, Shiyuan what're you doing here?" Su An regained her usual expression and looked at her.

"Auntie, are you okay?" She sat next to her and asked..

Does it have something to do with that little brat? Something bad must've happened right?

Oh, how she wished that little brat would just disappear, at least her chances with Si Yehan would increase.

She was quite curious as to what happebed to him though. She didn't get the chance to look closely at him as he was being carried by Si Yehan.

"I'm fine, i'm just worried about Little Xia."

"What happened to him?"

"It's just a past problem, nevermind that, why're you here?" She brushed of the topic. She couldn't casually tell people about it, even the Gu family.

Si Yehan had so many enemies, it would be stupid of her to just casually talk about their family matters.

Seeing as she didn't want to talk about it, Gu Shiyuan didn't press on.

"Auntie I came to take you shopping."
