Chapter 7
Royal coronation/royal wedding.
"You brat!!! how dare you talk to me like that!!"prince Erics yelled at him but prince Authur did not give him face.
"Listen Erics, you are the eldest among all of us so I would asked you to please stay away from me so that they won't say that I caused troubles for you in my own birthday" prince Authur said to both prince Derrick and Erics.
"Poahhhhhh"queen Jasmine slapped Authur. King Alfred wanted to react but Queen Cordelia held him down.
"How dare you talk to my son like that do you know that he's the next king"
"My queen and dear step mother, am sorry that I made you angry with the way I talked to your son my brother prince Erics but pls let's analyze something. He came here to fight with me because of the robes given to me by our father the king to wear on my day, your other son here prince Derrick came here to accuse me of snatching his woman from him which makes no sense. Sorry to say but I believe everyone her would agree with me that they both disgraced the royal family"
Everyone present began to nod their head in support of prince Authur.
"Again you said that you're the next king without being crowned Prince of Grandenia, so tell me how can you become the king or are you planning to kill dad?"
"Stupid dog how can I, don't forget what I told you, am the first son of the king"
"Your wrong, dad wasn't the first son of our late Grand father but he was crowned Prince of Grandenia as the second son which saw him to sit on the throne today. Don't get me wrong but I think you're too full of yourself"
"How dare you" Erics shouted and queen Jasmine wanted to put fire on Authur's head so she said to the king
"Your majesty I demand that he be whipped for his actions now, and I also demand that he apologize to my son the crown prince of Grandenia and your...."
"who made him the crown prince of Grandenia???" roared Carlos the minister of finance who could not stand queen Jasmine stupidity.
"And what is bad about what she said"sir windspark roared back at him trying to support his lover queen Jasmine. The king seeing that this would cause an issue said to them
"Today is prince Authur's birthday yet some people decides to cause trouble. Now I would let all know my judgement today"
Just then Teftler ran in saying
"my king pls wait I have some thing to present to you"
"What's that?"
"your majesty I have someone who wants to reveal something to you"
Mabel together with Kristen and Caroline came into the hall.
"Your majesty I have something to say to you".
"Speak!"
"my king two weeks ago I was coming from an errand for Princess Crystabel when I stumbled into prince Derrick. He called for me and I went to him. He then started to behave funny and when I wanted to escape he raped me"
The whole hall was filled with shouts of wow and ahhhs.
Prince Derrick saw that he could not escape from the wrath of Mabel and so decided to run away but was stopped by king Alfred guards.
"What evidence do you have to say that my son would decend so low to sleep with you" queen Jasmine roared again.
"My king the evidence is behind his cupboard in his chambers" Mabel replied.
King Alfred immediately sent Teftler and Greg to get the evidence from the room.
When it came they saw that it was the bed sheets of prince Derrick stained with blood and Mabel's under garment.
The whole hall fell into an uproar.queen Jasmine saw that this was Derrick's downfall and there's nothing she can do about it. She wished she could kill Mabel right now.
The king called for silence in the hall, then said
"Though this is not a court presiding but I hope you don't mind me holding you a little bit Authur?" He asked his son
"No father"
"Well it's really shocking to the royal household that this son of mine could do something so despicable to disgrace the royal household like this but all the same he would be punished"
"Your majesty I still have another thing I need to show you to prove my claim that prince Derrick here is the father of my child" and with that she brought out prince Derrick's signet ring which she gave to the king.
Again the whole hall could not help but murmur within themselves concerning the matter.
"Now my judgement"the king said and the hall became quiet as a grave yard.
"After all the evidence provided here by Mabel and her friends here I am convinced beyond measure that prince Derrick here committed the crime of rape against Mabel here. Based on the laws I would have had him killed but now I decree that he would marry him her next week Saturday morning at the royal cathedral and he would not force her to kill the child....yes I know what you're thinking Derrick" and he's not far from the truth as that was what he was thinking to do.
The king then looked at Erics And Authur then said
"Today is Authur's birthday but you created a fuss and caused trouble for him because of the robes I personally asked him to wear today so I decree that if Authur can conquer the kingdom of Decresh I will grant him his request and give him a special gift" the king intended to make Authur the prince of Grandenia if he could do as he just asked but he refused to voice it out as Jasmine could find a way to kill him through dubious means.
"Lastly prince Derrick is now the Duke of Prescott and would be coronated on his wedding day. This is my judgement"
"Lastly Mabel you move your things to the room next to me and stay there till your wedding day, I will call for your parents to come here and keep you company. From now on you're now a royal princess of this kingdom.
"Thank you your majesty" Mabel replied.
Tye king then looked at Authur and said
"Son I hope you don't mind the interuption of your banquet"
"No father I don't mind"
Prince Authur then looked at the crowd and said
"Today is my day and I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone, but if anyone have I'll intentions or have made plans to contradict what my father had just said to my brothers today just have it at the back of your mind that you have me to contend with"he then paused to look at everybody before he continued
"And lastly if anyone leak out what happened today to the outside world to ridicule my family members I would have my gaurds interrupt your dog legs and send you out of Naviel" and with that he went to his sit at tge high table and signaled the musicians to play their music.
Everyone who heard prince Authur speaking just now where scared to their bones as they know what he was capable of doing.
After dancing and singing for sometime prince Authur made his way to his apartment when he stumbled into Claire Wilson who was coming with princess Crystabel and princess Sofia from their side of the palace.
"Hello Claire how you doing?" he asked
"My Lord i am fine.thank you for asking"
"I would leave you guys to chat some more" princess Crystabel said and took princess Sofia away from them.
Claire felt shy in her heart as she was standing before tye man she had always admired in her heart. It felt akward for her.
"Sorry for my brothers behavior today at the ball"
"My prince you don't need to apologize for them, I mean they are at fault here and not you so pls don't do that. Sorry to say but your elder brother prince Erics is a proud man l, he's as proud as a peacock, always bullying the weak and causing trouble for the king.
Again prince Derrick is no exception too. He is also proud and he's main target is you"
"How did you know"prince Authur asked in surprise.
Because amnin love with you and he likes me but I don't and so it's easy to find out dummy. Claire thought inside her mind.
"I don't know but have heard rumors of their behavior towards you"
"Okay no problem so let's start with your age....." and with that they continued to gist into the night.
Prince Derrick sat in his chambers drinking. He was sad in his heart and at the same time mad at Mabel for embarrassing him in that manner. He just had a one night stand with her and it resulted into pregnancy and so what? just abort the child and everyone goes their separate ways in peace. But no Mabel refused and now shebhad trapped him into marriage and he can't diaobey his father.
So what's the way forward, he asked himself in his mind. well the only way is to abort the baby from that bicth's stomach and he had the perfect plan.
Prince Derrick smiled evily and drank the remaining wine from the goblet in his hand.
