Kidnapped

Queen Cordelia and her children sat outside the palace inside the garden drinking tea and taking some biscuits. They were all worried about their brother and son prince Authur who went out since morning and had not returned from his journey. The queen herself was more worried because she felt that something bad might had happened to him that delayed his return.

God let nothing bad happen to my son, you know he's the apple of my eyes and he's all have got. She thought in her mind.

Just then the king walked in with martins behind him. Princess Crystabel stood up to make way for him to sit next to her mother. King Alfred saw the worried look on her face and asked

"What's wrong with you my love"

"Nothing, am just waiting for Authur's return"

King Alfred sighed

"Cordelia, have told you times without number to stop worrying about our son Authur, he's an adult and can take care of himself"

" I just don't feel alright, what if he's in trouble and can't....."

Just then a royal guard shouted just outside the garden

"prince Authur is back!"

The whole family rushed out of the garden to the front of the palace where they saw prince Authur riding majestically on his horse with his entourage towards them.

Authur then got down and bowed to the king who patted his back and said to him and his men

"Welcome my glorious knights and my beloved son"

"Thank you my king" they all chorused.

The king nodded his head and turned to prince Authur

"Where are they?"

Authur then turned to Andrew Jakes and Lancelot smith and said

"Bring them over"

"Yes my prince" they said and then went back to the back and brought back Mr and Mrs Brighton and also Hannah into the king's presence. The Brightons immediately bowed to the king respectful to his glorious majesty he carried.

The king said to martins

"Go and get Mabel"

Mabel who had heard the commotion outside the palace said to the king

"Am here my king" and when she saw her parents immediately jumped upon them.

After some minutes of reunion she turned to prince Authur and said to him

"Thank you your highness, am most grateful for this"

"It's nothing" he replied.

Just then the stables groom men came in and took the horses away to the stables where they will be well taken care of and the royal family members went back into the house to have a glorious supper made especially for the knights and the Brightons.

Prince Derrick who happened to pass by them when going to meet his friends that night saw the Brightons and was angry inside his heart. He turned back and went to his bed chambers but first of all asked a page to go get Walter for him.

Walter who was busy enjoying himself with one of the palace maidens rushed out to meet the prince immediately he was summoned.

"your highness, you sent for me"

" yes I did, didn't you tell me that the matter concerning the Brightons is settled then why are they here?" he roared in anger.

Walter saw that something wasn't right so he said to prince Derrick

"Your highness I think they encountered your brother prince Authur but I would find out the truth before midnight tomorrow"

"You better do so"

Walter then left prince Derrick chambers.

Well at the village borders Nicholas quickly assembled all his brothers and sisters in the gang and quickly ran all the way to Naviel to meet prince Authur.

Greg who was walking with princess Crystabel and Tablot at that moment saw them and quickly whispered to Tablot who then signaled to Nicholas to follow him discreetly so as not to arouse the suspicious princess Crystabel and told a sentry to give a message to prince Authur.

Prince Authur who was talking with the king about his ordeal with the Brightons received the message and left his father's chambers to go attend to his buisness.

Dmn why did this guy not come by the appointment I gave to him. Prince Authur said in his mind.

He then went to one of his friends field, Greg's father's land actually, where they were waiting for him.

"Greetings my prince" Nicholas and his associates greeted him.

" no problem, why did you come here now instead of next tomorrow when I asked you to come?"

"Am sorry for disturbing you my prince, it's just that I did feel like staying there any longer so I ran with my gang to meet you earlier instead, am sorry your highness"

"It's okay" Authur said waving his hand and just then a man ran towards their direction screaming

"Pls save me,save me!!" and we was pursued hotly by a group of people.

The man ran and hide behind prince Authur.

Prince Authur turned towards the direction of the group completely ignoring Nicholas and said to them

"Why are you chasing him?"

The gang leader who did not recognize prince Authur said to him

"Kid you better mind your business or don't blame me for being ruthless"

Immediately Nicholas flew towards him and gave him a big slap on his face causing him to fall down while saying

"You dare to be disrespectful to prince Authur, believe it or not I would kill you right away"

The man was scared especially when he heard prince Authur's name from the other man's mouth, he immediately bowed to prince Authur and greeted

"Great lord have mercy on me"

Authur ignored him but asked again

"You have not answered my question, I said why were you chasing him"

"back to my lord, we were sent by a man who paid is money to kill this young man over there"

"What's your name?"

"Orvel, my prince"

"Okay carry your gang and kneel at that corner and wait for me and if anyone dares to escape I will break his dog legs and throw him into the river banks to die"

Orvel and his men naturally obeyed because they know prince Authur's character and besides they were surrounded by many of his men who would kill them without hesitation when asked to do so.

Authur turned to Nicholas and said

" I will make you and your men a mercenary under me, it's not to do evil things like raping innocent women and killing innocent people, but a clean organization to earn money for your upkeep and to make a good name for yourself"

" I would ask Greg my army commander to find a large land outside of Naviel to give to you to build your base there and to give you some money for your upkeep and to buy weapons but first I would need to find a good lawyer to help negotiate with the formalities"

Just then the man who ran to hide behind prince Authur spoke out

"There's no need for that,I am a lawyer"

Everyone turned towards him at once while prince Authur asked

"You are a lawyer, what's your name?"

"Thomas Cronwell your highness"

Okay that's nice prince Authur said in his mind

"Good if you don't mind I would like you to be my royal lawyer from now on if you don't mind"

"I don't mind your highness it's an honour to serve you my prince"

"Okay what's your charge?"

"Anything would do your highness"

"I would pay you three hundred thousand peices of Naviel gold yearly"

The entire crowd including Thomas Cronwell was shocked. Three hundred thousand peices of Naviel gold yearly as income salary that was enough to take care of ones expenses for twenty years f**k.

"Thank you my prince i am most greatful" Thomas Cronwell said.

"Its okay, but tell me why you were being pursued by these gang members"pointing at orvel and his men

"Sir I have a lover whom I love so dearly with my heart and we have started thinking about getting married, but you see there's an official to one of your brothers who also have an interest in her also but she refused to accept him.Just this evening we were busy minding our buisness when he came and looking for trouble and when I tried to confront him he paid these holigans to silence me"

Authur then told him to rest by sitting on one of the trees surrounding the area while he talked to Nicholas.

"Then name of your organization is up to you to decide and how you want your base to be is also up to you, but I must have a report on all your dealings, am I clear?"

"Yes your highness, your subordinate obeys"

"Good now to you" he said pointing at orvel

"Come here"and orvel came over to meet him.

"I can make you the underground emperor of all the outlaws in this kingdom, but it all depends on how much effort you put in"

"What is your main occupation?"

"My prince it's mainly in raising of dogs and fishing for a survival"

"No illegal stuffs?"

" I run inns and some girls for prostitution also"

"alright, scrape out the selling of girls for prostitution and tomorrow come and meet Thomas Cronwell for two hundred thousand peices of gold to increase the scale of your business and mind you tell all your subordinates to stop all illegal stuffs also"

"Yes my Lord"

"Okay everyone let go home" and everyone stared to make their way towards the direction of the town.

Just then a lady ran towards them being chased by a man who obviously was Walter.

The lady seeing Thomas Cronwell ran and hugged him for she was his girlfriend Abigail Adams. Walter who was still far off didn't see prince Authur who was covered by orvel's men but he saw Thomas Cronwell who was hugging his frightened love and he was very annoyed.

" This is the man who hired us my prince" Orvel whispered to Authur.

Authur was very pleased as he still had to settle the score of his attack with the Brightons with him so he asked orvel

"Do you have a spare cage in your dog kennel?"

"i do my lord"

"good take this guy and lock him up till I decide what to do with him but mind you, do it very skillfully and don't let anyone see or observe what you do if not the king might have your head on a stake this night because of Derrick" and with that he tok another route with his men to the palace without Walter noticing him.

Walter was quickly subdued effortlessly without him knowing what happened and was knocked unconscious and taken to the kennel of Orvel.
