Chapter 8

Amy's eyes darted to the key hanging from Mr. Brown's belt. A surge of hope flooded through her as she realized this might be their chance to turn the tables.

"Mr. Brown," Amy said, her voice steady but filled with urgency. "You've always been fascinated by magic, right? Well, I have a magical challenge for you. If you can escape from this room with your own magic, we'll consider staying. But if you can't, then it's time to release us."

Mr. Brown's curiosity piqued as he considered Amy's offer. He saw it as an opportunity to prove his abilities and regain control over the situation.

"Very well," Mr. Brown replied, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "I accept your challenge."

Amy handed Mr. Brown a deck of cards and asked him to close his eyes, instructing him to use his magic to make the cards vanish. With a mischievous smile, Amy reached for the key on his belt, swiftly removing it without him noticing.

When Mr. Brown opened his eyes, he was startled to find the cards had vanished just as he had commanded.

"Now, Mr. Brown," Amy said, holding up the key. "It seems your magical powers have worked. Can you demonstrate one last trick and escape from this room?"

A mixture of confusion and frustration crossed Mr. Brown's face as he realized he had been tricked. He lunged forward in an attempt to grab Amy, but she was already a step ahead.

Amy quickly unlocked the door and bolted out into the hallway, with Emily closely behind her. They ran as fast as they could, leaving Mr. Brown trapped inside the room.

They ran quickly away here.

Amy and Emily sprinted down the hallway, their hearts pounding with adrenaline. They could hear Mr. Brown's enraged shouts echoing behind them as they pushed themselves to go even faster.

As they reached a fork in the hallway, Amy made a split-second decision and veered left, guiding Emily with her. They knew they had to find a way out of the building and seek help as soon as possible.

They searched for any signs of an exit, desperately trying to navigate through unfamiliar corridors. The building seemed like a maze, with locked doors and dead-end hallways at every turn.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they spotted a sign pointing towards the emergency exit. With renewed determination, they raced towards it, their hope intensifying with each step.

The emergency exit door swung open easily, and they burst out into the fresh air, inhaling deeply as they realized they were finally free. They didn't stop running until they were a safe distance away from the building.
