Alastair Kurenai has left his home on Earth for a world called Nachima. In that world he'll be up against The Liberators, an organization that wishes to take his key to liberate the worlds from their reliance on Key Keepers. Nothing out of the ordinary for a guy raised in a family of Key Keepers. What kid doesn't want to be like his brothers and sisters? But that desire comes at a cost, one that makes Alastair long to return home. Still, he has to right the world before he can achieve his goal of returning home to his family.

As Star fell asleep, his body went limp and he rolled off the sofa.

Cyan flinched as he hit the floor.

Kari looked thoughtful as she sat back down. "I think we're going to need to set some new rules for him while he's recovering. No staying up too late. No napping in precarious spots."

Ethan chuckled. "This isn't atypical for the kitty."

"And maybe a leash to keep him tethered somewhere safe."

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "A leash? You think he'd let you?"

"Not literally," Kari said, exasperated. "But something to make sure he's staying put. Like a backpack which we tie around our waist. Or something like a designated nap corner."

Cyan tilted her head. "Wouldn't that just make him more catlike?"

Randy chuckled. "Kitty just needs a cozy blanket and a warm spot in the sun, and he'll probably curl right up."

"A hammock? He finds those cozy?" Cole asked.
