Chapter 8: Wild is not the Same as Feral

The door to her room was slammed open and Elanor stared at the ceiling, taking a deep…deep breath.

It was going to be a thing, wasn’t it. People barging into her room without at least knocking. It was technically her cell but still.

At least in the human army, people warned you when they were going to suddenly disturb your privacy.

For the past two weeks though that had been the pattern. Get woken up, get brought to work by Leylin where she’d then proceed to wash dishes till her fingers were red and shriveled, followed by a stupid amount of laundry work, washing, hanging, and folding, till she was brought back to her room.

There were only two demons who ever directly interacted with her while the others just held a neutral stance of being coworkers that didn’t interact.

It wasn’t Leylin barging in, far too early for the demoness to take time out of her schedule to bother, which meant it was the other demon.
