To think that she had to ask that. No, Azzoth knew why Elanor still felt the need to even ask a question like that.

Leylin had said it right, he’d been ignoring it, but even Elanor had acknowledged it, that their relationship was built like a house of cards and what they had wouldn’t survive anything with the way it was.

It didn’t matter what the feelings were if everything was going to crash and burn.

It didn’t matter how they felt if this war was going to continue on because then Elanor would hold herself back.
