Then again, she was very different from the humans he’d be targeting. She was wonderfully audacious and unwavering. Her beliefs didn’t falter in the slightest no matter what she faced, even if those beliefs were how she needed to keep a lie going or stand against a Demon General.

Azzoth liked that in a partner. He liked people who had pride, who didn’t let their opinions crumble in the face of power, who wouldn’t just bow but press forward if things became hard.

Elanor Elize was practically the definition of refusing to back down and not once had he seen her give in, to anything. And she was a human doing that! It was so interesting to watch.

Honestly, he was a bit surprised that she’d even given in to Azzoth, but the b*st*rd could be charming when he wanted to be, and Elanor was such a greedy little thing.
