Chapter 19: Iris Miller

Nineteen

Iris Miller

In the morning, Malaki made me breakfast. I was still in his clothes, and didn’t want to change into the dress again. It was the weekend so everyone would be sleeping in so I didn’t think I would have to worry about people seeing me stumble into the dorm with his clothes on. Once we finished breakfast, he took me back to the dorms.

When I opened the door, I found my roommates sitting in the living room eating breakfast while watching tv and talking.

“I still can’t believe she hasn’t been home all night!” Sinead said. “I didn’t think she was into him yet.”

Dawn chuckled. “No one can truly resist their mate. It’s impossible. That’s why you don’t usually here about people not choosing them.”

Celestine snorted. “Suit yourself. I’m finding resisting Milo to be incredibly easy.”

Keavy laughed. “Didn’t you two fool around at your birthday last summer?”

She glared at the witch. “That hardly counts. I was drunk.”
