Leaves rustled under his feet as he ran through the woods, pathing and sweating. It doesn't seem like he was being chased by someone but rather it looked like he was running after someone.
He created pathways in between the woods for he was so determined to reach whatever he was aiming for. He was breathing very fast. He looked like a man in his late 20's. he was dressed in black jean and shirt.
The speed in which he was moving was very fast that not even the fastest human being on earth could meet up with him.
He suddenly stopped at a point and hid behind a tree at the edge of a cliff.
He watched two men exchanging handshakes beneath the cliff. The cliff was not that high so he could see them clearly. He was familiar with one of them who turns out to be his brother but the other not quite sure.
He saw them talking and smiling at each other like there was a transaction going on within them. He carefully listened from where he was.
"If this deal works out, I promise that I will give you 30 percent of the profit."
The other man looked at him and smiled, "45," he bargained.
"40," He retorted sighing with his hands in his pocket bouncing on his toes. The figure on the cliff couldn't hear what they were saying clearly.
He supported himself with the tree beside him and moved closer to the edge. unfortunately, it didn't turn out well.
He almost fell over tripping a small stone in between them.
Before they could look up, the figure was held and pulled back to his feet. They quickly hid quietly behind the tree so that those underneath wouldn't catch a glimpse of them. Luckly for them, they weren't disturbed by the fallen stone.
"Everything you need will be provided for you, you just need to ensure the plan goes smoothly," his brother said.
The figure looked straight to a lady sweating and panting. She looked unkept but at the same time she was very pretty. They both looked into each other's eyes. The lady couldn't take her eyes off him, the startled sight of him was so handsome.
"How can I trust you on this?" his brother asked, fondling his moustache, folding his other arm under the other and standing at ease.
"I will lose my job if it fails, your brother isn't the one who will let me go freely if he finds out." He replied to reassure him. His brother nodded and the other man left in black Benz.
The figure sighed as soon as he saw his brother leaving. The lady stepped back, letting go of her grip. He cleared his throat trying to act normal. He dusted his cloth and looked at her.
"IAN STEWART.... All by himself, spying on his brother?" she mocked and laughed out loud to her satisfaction. She stopped and looked at him again.
"I must say thank you for what you did earlier but... I do not think I have made an acquaintance with this face of yours. I find you quite daring. I have leant that people who know the name Ian Stewart never dared to pronounce the last name...." he said walking away slowly from the tree and walking close to her.
She was taking a step backwards at every step he took.
"I shall ask," he paused and continued. "What was so funny?"
The young lady swallowed the lump in her throat. She couldn't help her laughter which disappeared shortly after seeing the look on Ian's face.
"That was so unexpected! I mean where are my manners, the great Alpha is right here in front of me," she mocked again.
Ian ignored her and started walking away.
"Let me join the pack or I will tell Nolan how his lovely brother was spying on him," she threatened, he froze in his steps and walked back to her. Her heart was pounding fast. She was scared of what he might do to her.
"Since you know me so well, I bet you also know that I could get rid of you, and I doubt my brother would let you live, so go ahead." He said starting to walk away again.
"The prophecy..." the lady retorted.
Ian was surprised. There was no one who knew about the prophecy except his family and no one dares to speak of it.
This made him irritated and his frustration grew more. He ran back to strangle her with her legs up in the air. She struggled to breathe. She did all she could to get out of his grip but it was to no avail.
she was turning purple already. Ian was grunting angrily.
He released her. She fell to her feet, coughing, trying to get a hold of herself.
"What do you know about the prophecy?" he remonstrated as he was seething inside.
"Take me in. I promise I will tell you,"
"If I find out you're pulling some strings with me, I will kill you myself,"
