"Thank God!" he breathed, gasping for fresh air. He held on to his neck coughing out. He suddenly paused for a moment as he could now think straight. It seems very usual for one of Nolan guys to still be in the wood after he had left.
'why did Nolan have someone follow me? Did he not trust me?' he thought looking at the guy in front of him one more time. He had a straight face. With the way he stood, he looked like some who is well versed in combat.
The guy noticed his questionable look and thought of a reasonable excuse. "Nolan asked me to escort you home safe," he said.
The driver stood to his feet as soon as he noticed the lady was knocked out. He scurried to his boss breathing heavily like he had just run a marathon. He dust his cloth and stood straight.
"Are.... are you okay sir?" he asked stuttering. His boss shot him a disgusted look before sighing furiously.
He arched a brow,"You....You're fired," he said.
"No, no you can't do this, please don't do this. I'm sorry okay," he pleaded as the feeling of realisation drown him.
"Well I already did and do not show your face in front of me again."
His boss doesn't seem bother about what happens to him. He didn't even look at him one last time. He reached for the car door knob and got into the car.
The figure took the car key from the driver, leaving him standing there and helpless. He didn't know what to do. The figure crossed over the lady's unconscious body to get to the driver's side. He exchanged glances with the driver one more time before getting into the car and finally zooming off.

Ian heard a knock on his study room door as he flipped through the pages of a newly published magazine just released by his company few days ago. He waited for the second knock before he said,
"Come on in!"
The door opened to one of his personal guards. He stepped in and stood properly in front of Ian who was sitting on a coach at a corner of the room. He was engrossed in the magazine. He didn't even bother to look up at who it was that came into the room since he already knew his saint.
"Someone came looking for you, she's down."
"Who is it?" he asked still looking at the magazine.
"A lady..." hearing this made him look up at him arching one of his brows.
"A lady?" he repeated as his forehead lined with worries and curiosity.
"She's said you met earlier today in the woods," the guard added.
"Oh yeah, bring her to me." he replied and the guard took his leave. Ian continued with his magazine.
The guard walked down the stairs to where the lady was seated. She, on the other hand was busy scrutinising the whole house. The interior decoration of the house was like nothing she has ever seen before. The wall design, the rugs, the chandeliers and the furniture are speaking luxury. Top notch.
"Come with me," the guard said trying to get her attention and once he did, he gave a slight nod to the side. "C'mon, he added spreading his hand forward to lead the way.
She stood up immediately from the couch and followed him from behind. She continued to look around as they proceeded through the stairs. She felt like having her eyes on every corner of the house. Even the stairs was so beautiful. She almost didn't believe what her eyes were seeing.
She forgot for a moment, the reason why she was there. Her focus was diverted when the guard suddenly stopped in front of a door, he opened the door and nodded slightly to the side telling her to go in.
She stepped into the room, "I didn't expect to see you so soon," Ian said handing her a glass of wine with his hand in his pocket. It was as if he had waited by the door, for her to come in.
He walked away from her and headed back to his table. He reached for the wine decanter and pour himself another glass of wine.
"A lovely house you have," the lady deflected taking a seat on the couch before her. Ian left his table with the glass of wine and walked over to his window made with complete glass, staring outside. He was looking at his brother walked into the compound as he pay his greetings to couple of maids walking pass him. Admiring his handsomeness.
Ian sipped his wine gently. The lady's eyes were fixed on him. She got carried away by the charming sight of him. His glowing skin, perfect set of lips plus the muscles are so breathtaking. Ian suddenly looked back at her and caught her staring at him.
He didn't seem bothered about that since he was used to people staring at him.
Walking away from the window, "To make things clear, I do not want to waste much of your time.... I see you haven't come with any present,"
The lady placed her glass of wine gently on the table and sighed before saying, "I was attacked. I lost him."
Ian chuckled hearing this. He slowly walked back to her.
"What? You've got the nerve coming here thinking I will let you into the pack without bring the only thing that could prove me wrong. Don't even dream about it,"
Deep down, Ian knew it was impossible to bring him to her since he doesn't want to take her into the pack. He knew his brother would have him followed. He had to keep her busy somehow so she wouldn't think of going to his brother.
"I will make sure I bring him to you, can I please get another chance? I promise I will bring him to you this time," she pleaded.
"Who attacked you?" He asked mixing his wine gently and staring at it.
"I think he is one of Nolan's men," she replied as she was very sure about it.
