Nicki the Gossip Girl

“Hmm…? What are you looking at?!” The girl in Tan’s party said. “Don’t interrupt me. There’re a lot of people who are still confused by the rules. Come…this pretty Nicki will teach you everything.”

In this game, you could choose Jobs and Classes.

Jobs had something to do with HP MP SP as well as HP MP SP recovery, but I would not tell you about the differences between each job; you had to use your imagination, HAHAHA. Jobs also provided players with passive skills like the one Tan had that changed players’ stats and also active skills like Knight’s powerful slash and ranged attackers’ impressive move.

Classes provided players with additional skills like Lifeline and Level Breaker…You could choose whatever you felt like. If you were brave enough, you could go for Mage with Class Vagabond or Emperor with Class Vagabond.

Now, let’s talk about the fighting rules…

Like other online games, players had to fight with monsters, but in this game, you had to use cards to fight. If players did not have weapon cards, they had to fight with bare hands; however, if they had Summon Cards, they could summon a monster to fight for them. They could use magic if they had Magic Cards or equip with equipment if they had Equip Cards.

Each card had a different number of stars. The stars on the cards were equal to the MP that needed to be consumed when activated. Some cards also had conditions such as discard cards, sacrifice HP, and sacrifice monsters on the battlefield.

Deck

A set of sixty cards in a normal slot and another ten in an extra slot. You must put at least sixty cards in the normal slot. In the extra slot, you could put in only 0-10 Area Cards, so you would have above sixty cards for a deck.

To conclude…

-There were at least sixty normal cards in a deck. You could add only three copies of the same card.

-You could add not more than ten Area Cards or leave the extra slot empty. (Some players did not even have any Area Cards.)

To fight…

Seven cards would be randomly drawn from the normal deck and extra deck at the beginning of the battle. (That meant you had a chance of drawing an Area Card.) If you had two Area Cards in the extra deck, your deck would have sixty-two cards; the system would randomly draw your first seven cards from those sixty-two cards you had…Did you understand?!

Every minute, a card would be drawn. If you ran out of cards, you could not draw anything. (Of course, where the hell you could find cards to draw…)

There were five types of cards in this game…You could put only three copies of the same card, except they stated that you could put more or less in your deck.

What…?

Could you add three copies of the same Area Card?

Well…Tell me if you find a person who could add three copies of the same Area Card. I would report them to the GM and get them banned for the rest of their life because there was only one copy of an Area Card in the world of D.W.O.

1. Summon Cards or monster cards could be activated as you please as long as you had enough MP. These cards had no stats provided on the cards, only short descriptions. If you wanted to know about them thoroughly, just test them.

Some cards had strange words on them such as Quest. I’d explain about it.

- Quest…If your cards had this word, they had unique quests for you to do. They usually provided you with short information. If you wanted more details…you had to buy it at the Information Centers but remember that…the price got higher as the harder the quests were.

2. Equip Cards Let me put it simply for you…They were equipment such as weapons, armor, accessories, and many more. It could only be equipped by players though. Some Equip Cards had an ‘Effect’ too. Oh…then my whip, candle, collar, and mask were also Equip Cards, right?

3. Magic Cards were simply magic. You knew about it, right? If you did not, then just leave the game, find yourself a novel that had the word ‘Magic’ on the back of the cover, and read it. These cards would cause different effects on the battlefield such as increasing monsters’ stats, attacking opponents, or in higher-level cards, resurrecting friends or monsters that had been killed.

4. Item Cards were stuff you use, drink, apply, and so on like Health Potions, for example, or Antidotes. It would disappear after using and replacing itself with the same name card in your inventory. If you ran out of the card, the system would notify you at the end of the battle. Oh…Viagra was also categorized in this type of card. You could use it to boost your desire.

And last…but not cheap,

5. Area Cards were cards that could be acquired after clearing the game’s conditions. The lowest rank was H-Class, and the highest rank was S-Class. The X-Class card that Tan got was weird. Let’s not focus on it.

The Area Cards were separated from the main sixty cards. You had to put it in their slot which was called ‘Extra’ and had ten slots. After putting them in, you could draw them just like any other cards. Three effects would randomly appear after activating Area Cards. Each of them was freaking powerful. You also owned the possessory rights over the area. You might get some shared income or shared EXP from players that entered the area. There was a disadvantage too…that was the player who owned an Area Card could not kill monsters within the area in their possession, likewise, monsters in the area would not attack the owner of the area. Of course…attacking their master was equal to a death sentence.

HAHA…They were awesome, right?

It was very tough to get one so it should be powerful. An Area Card consisted of three parts:

- Summon

- Magic

- Avatar

Which form your Area Card would be was decided when the card was drawn. It might be monster form, magic form, or Avatar form. Each card would have its own condition to activate. Let me tell you…Each Avatar was very cool. Famous players were usually named after their Area Card’s Avatar. Eureka, the Twelve-Winged, for example, got that name because her Avatar had twelve wings. Huh…I wanted a gorgeous Avatar too. Think about it…Nicki, the Harem Queen…Oh…it’s embarrassing, do not say it too loud!

What…?

You did not know about Avatar?

Oh… (That was troublesome.)

That made me want to whip you and drip candle wax on your body…

Avatar… A-V-A-T-A-R, Avatar, was a card that transformed a player into a powerful creature by the power of the card. The form of the Avatar would depend on the player’s Job too, so even if you used the same Area Card as someone, your Avatar would be different. Wow…this game was too awesome.

The end…that was all about rules and cards.

Let’s talk about rewards…! (Hyped)

When players fought against each other, we called it to duel…It was a duel, not a jewel—that one you could give to me.

After the duel ended, the winner could take one card from the loser’s deck or the extra slot.

Again…Only the cards in the deck or extra slot. You could not take one that was not in the deck. Let’s say you dueled against one of the Four Avatars, Hesse, the Hell Gate who had ten Area Cards in his possession. However, he used a deck with no Area Card in the duel. If you won, Hesse would lose five levels, and you could choose only the cards in his crappy deck. You could not pick an Area Card which was not in the deck…Did you understand?

The system would show the list of all cards in the loser’s deck for you to choose from after the duel ended. Of course…if there was an Area Card in that deck, you could pick it…

Be careful…It would be a big loss if you lost…

Well…I had to go now. Someone was waiting for me to beat them up at the colosseum. You could leave me questions. I would answer you later when I had time.

See you…

Nicki, the Prettiest…
