Rain's POV

I was enjoying the holiday after completing my diploma classes for hospitality management and at the same time I was excited to do industrial training . I had already started to give my CVs in different hotel .

8th Oct 2021 6:30 pm

I was laying in bed and watching TV, my phone started to ring .I looked at phones and it's says unknown number.

Usually I don't pick up the phone calls from unknown number but this time I don't know why but I picked up and said" Hello"

And after the silence of 1min from both side I again repeated "Helloo"

This time with in a second someone from another side replied saying " Hi, I am calling from " The Kings Palace". Am I talking to Miss Rain?"

I was so excited as this was my first interview call for internship.

"Yes sir it's me Rain." I replied

" I am f and b manager of the hotel, my name is Rohan. By the way I am sorry I couldn't call you earlier. I actually loved you CV, so when are you planning to join our company?"

I could not believe my ear. Kings Palace was one of the three star hotel of city area. It was newly established hotel and that was the main reason why I was so excited.

"Excuse me. Are you there?" he asked

I don't know for how long I was lost in my thoughts.

"Yes sir. I will be joining from 10th Oct. Will that be alright?"

"Actually, that would be great. On 20th Oct, we have a grand opening ceremony of our hotel. So, hope to see you on Monday then." He said

After the phone calls I directly went to downstairs and informed to my family. Everyone was so excited but sad at the same time because I was going far from them.

I called to my aunty who used to live in city to inform her that I was selected in "The Kings Palace" for my internship because she was the one who gave me the idea of applying their. Within 2 ring she received the call.

"Hello, aunty I am selected in the hotel kings Palace."

My excitement could be heard from my voice

" Congratulations cutey. I knew you could do that. So, when are you coming?"

She asked me.

"Tomorrow" I said

" Oh that's great. Then I will be waiting for you my dear " she replied

9th OCT 2021, 6:30AM

As usual I woke up early in the morning and start to pack my stuff. After half an hour mom and dad came to my room.

"Aham Aham, so, are you done with your packing?," Dad said

"Yes, finally." I turned towards them and replied

I saw tears in both of their eyes. After seeing them crying I could not hold mine too so we all three started to cry and hugging each other. I was the only child of my parents and have never been far from them for long. I don't know how I will live without them .

Mom lean towards me and told "We never thought of being separated. Even though you are going to persuade your dreams out there, if you ever feel bad or change your mind or you ever come through any problems, we are always here for you baby. The door of this house is and will be always open for you, your mama and dad are always here for you and we will always support and help you no matter what."

I could not even utter a single word so I nodded my head. After some minutes of silence dad looked at the watch and said "we need to hurry or else she will be late . If everything has been packed then I will be taking your bag." He took my bag and we all went downstairs.

We went to aunt house. After sitting for a while in aunt house mom and dad went back to home.

Next day early in the morning I took a bath and became ready to go to hotel. I was quite nervous as it was my first day. I don't know how people working there will treat me. I went downstairs and eat my breakfast and went to the bus station. After 15 mins of drive in bus I reached my stations. I walk for 5 mins then I saw a big building Infront of me where "The royal Palace" was written in a big big letter.

I was walking straight towards the building.

After entering to the hotel I went to the HR office to submit my documents then he suggested me to join from the very same day. His assistant took me to the restaurant. It was quite busy. She went to a man on his 60 then said "Her name is Rain she is the new members of f and b service team. A new trainee of your department. She is starting from today so train her properly and he is one and only supervisor of f and b service department Mr. Wade so if you will have any questions or problem or anything feel free to ask him." Then she went back.

I said " hello sir. Nice meeting you " then smiled awkwardly.

"Hello to our one and only female worker in our department. Hope you will learn and grow well and help to meet company as well as your goals." he said with big smile.

I felt quite comfortable after that I started to look around and tried to adjust to the hotel. After sometime one of the staff of front took me to look at the hotels room. Then I started to make friends.

Well it was my first day in a restaurant as a trainee waitress. New place, new people and new phase of my life. I never expected my life would be like this.

As it was my first day on duty he didn't ask me to work more.

i went back to my aunty place at 3 in the afternoon.
