Ch.36

"Yeah, I finished the homework for both classes. I'm just waiting for my friends since they are all busy, so I'm just passing the time while waiting for them," I say to Cathay and Dr. Burke who is still staring at me with a piercing gaze. 

"Guess I shouldn't be surprised that you finished your homework already. However, if you are ever interested, some professors take students as assistants to help them. There are many benefits to becoming a professor's assistant and I'm still looking for one. So if you are interested come see me after class one day," Cathay says to me with a very flirtatious voice and suggestive look at the end. I just nod my head while trying to process what to say since I was not expecting this very obvious statement. 

"Right… Uhm, ok," I say as my brain freezes, since Cathay is looking at me with a seductive smile and Dr. Burke is staring at me with a curious look now. 

"We should get our drinks Cathay," Dr. Burke says saving me as she drags Cathay away to get their drinks. 

Not wasting any time, I quickly grab my drink and leave the cafe. I glance back to see Cathay and Dr. Burke talking while I seem to be their topic of conversation. Though I could see a disappointed look on Cathay's face seeing that I quickly left the cafe. With a shudder from the cold and the look I was getting from Cathay, I quickly made my way to the Bee Club. 

'I need to hug Alex, I feel dirty,' I think to myself as I quickly make my way to the Bee Club. 

Unlike the Porcellian Club, the Bee Club is not just a house for the members to live in and party at. The Bee Club's bottom floor is a Cafe that the women run and use to fund their Club. While the other two floors are where the older and more important members live. I would have gone to the Bee Club's cafe, instead, I figured I'd let Alex do her thing, but now I regret not going to the Bee Club Cafe sooner. 

Walking inside I can see a lot of students come here to help support the Bee Club. Though from the looks of it, it appears to be the men who come here mostly to flirt with the members working currently. As I look around I see Maya in the corner of the store on her laptop, so I walk over to her and take a seat at her table. 

"I'm not interested," Maya says without looking up at me and with a very annoyed voice. 

"Wow, ok. Nice to see you too," I say with a faked hurt look on my face as Maya looks up wide-eyed and surprised. 

"Gabe! Oh my God! I'm sorry!" Maya says while getting up and hugging me, making many of the guys in the cafe look over some with jealous faces. 

"Relax, I'm just messing with you," I say patting her back as she sits back down with a reddened face embarrassed at her sudden display of affection in front of everyone. 

"So, how'd it go?" I ask Maya who relaxes a bit and takes a seat with a still-redden face. 

"Uhm…. oh, it was interesting," Maya says first confused about what I mean then nods her head with a thoughtful look. 

"That's good, so anything crazy they have you doing during your time to get fully accepted?" I say to her as she just sighs thinking about what she is expected to do, to get fully into the Club. 

"Nothing I wasn't already expecting. Though I can imagine it is going to make this year already more annoying than usual. Apparently, the Bee Club is co-hosting a party with the Porcellian Club you and Eric are trying to join. So they have me designing the posters before printing them out and putting them everywhere on campus. Plus posting them all over Facebook and such," Maya says showing me the poster she is working on currently. 

"Looks… fun," I say with a chuckle as Maya rolls her eyes. 

"So fun!" Maya says sarcastically. 

"Is Alex still asking her thousands of questions?" I say to Maya wanting to know if Alex is still upstairs. 

"Yeah she is, but don't worry her Sponsor is just like her and is basically giving her a binder of things she should be expecting while trying to get into the Club," Maya says with a laugh hearing me at first. 

"Jesus, then this is going to be a very stressful few months," I say with a sigh as I can already see Alex becoming her fully stressed-out self again trying to juggle her school life and getting into the Bee Club. 

"Can I ask you something?" Maya says as we go silent for a few seconds and I can see she is nervous about asking me whatever it is she wants to ask me. 

"Sure," I say nodding my head. 

"You and Alex have been together for a while, right?" Maya says to me as I nod my head curious where she is going with this. 

"Then you must be used to her… quirks. Is she usually so… anxious?" Maya says to me having not experienced Alex's full stress mode that has recently been flaring. 

"Yeah, she can get pretty touchy when she is stressed. Though she has gotten a lot better over the years, she used to be much worse," I say to Maya who gives me a surprised look. 

"Oh God," Maya says imagining what Alex used to be like before meeting her. 

"I do my best to help her relax and not become over-worried about the little things," I say to her as Maya nods her head. 

"Maya!.... Gabe?! Hey!" we both hear Alex as she comes downstairs looking for Maya and sees her and then me. 

Alex runs over and gives me a hug which I return and give her a deep kiss. Alex becomes slightly embarrassed at the PDA, but I just wanted to hold her and kiss her after dealing with the horny milf from earlier. Maya's face becomes slightly red in embarrassment seeing it too, while many of the guys in the cafe glare at me even more. 

"What was that for?" Alex says not expecting it but is happy about it nonetheless. 

"Several reasons, one I missed you, two I love you, and three because I had to deal with Cathay earlier," I say to Alex who smiles at me and then narrows her eyes hearing Cathay's name. Alex knows Cathay has taken an interest in me and if it wasn't for the fact she was our teacher Alex would have been confrontational. 

"Ms. Cathay? What did she do?" Maya says confused at hearing me bring her up. 

"Do you notice how she is constantly showing off her body and loves the attention of the guys in the class? Well, Gabe hasn't given her the same interest as the other guys do. Which I think annoys her and so she is trying her best to seduce him," Alex says to Maya who thinks about it and now makes connects the dots. 

"Oh shit!" Maya says almost too loudly getting red-faced again. 

"Exactly," Alex says with an annoyed face. 

"Anyway, Alex, what do they have you doing?" I ask Alex changing the subject. 

"They want me to help Maya design the poster and to get the word out about the party as much as possible," Alex says as I nod my head in understanding. 

"What about you?" Alex asks me with Maya nodding her head knowing the Porcellian Club will have me doing something too. 

"No idea, Jacob my Sponsor will tell me what he wants me to do. He said he'll text me tomorrow, so I'm free today," I say to them as they both nod their heads. 

"This place is awesome!!" we all hear Eric's voice as he comes inside the Bee Club's Cafe. Though he has been here many times already trying to pick up some women. 

"How did he find us?!" Maya says with a very annoyed voice while glaring at her brother who is already flirting with one of the Club members. 

"I told him I was here waiting for Alex and you to finish up," I say to her making Maya give me a betrayed look. Alex just laughs seeing Maya's look of betrayal. 

"Hey Bro! Alex! And Blonde Bitch!" Eric says greeting us and flipping off his sister who grumbles under her breath. 

"Do you two ever get along?" I say as Alex nods her head. 

"This is getting along!" Eric says with even Maya nodding her head, while Alex and I share looks of disbelief. 

"So, what do they have your jackass doing? I imagine not much," Maya says to her brother who shrugs. 

"They want me to go around telling everyone about the party and to get as many chicks as I can to come," Eric says as I just laugh, while Maya sighs and Alex shakes her head. 

'Gabe, I'm gonna need you to be in charge of carding people for drinks' Jacob texts me as I just text back an 'ok'. 

'In the meantime spread the word about the party too' Jacob texts me back again. I respond with another 'ok'. I just sigh while contemplating how I was convinced to join a club.

"Got my job just now… Gotta help spread the word about the party and then card people at the party who want to get a drink at the bar," I say to them all as they look at me checking my phone for texts. 

"Sweet! Then you can sneak us some drinks!" Eric says as I stare at him with a deadpan look. 

"No," I say as Eric gives me a betrayed look now, and the girls nod their heads at my statement. 

"Come on bro!" Eric says as I stare at him not giving in this time. 

"You convinced me to join the club, do you think they would want us if we started fucking around on our first 'job' to join them?" I say to Eric who grumbles but nods his head in understanding. 

"Shit! This is gonna be a long year!" Eric says with an annoyed look on his face now realizing the responsibility he has to join the club. 

"Should be good for you, maybe it will instill some responsibility and maturity in you," Maya says while Eric gives her an annoyed look. 

"Oh fuck off!" Eric says with an annoyed voice. 

"Well, Maya and I are gonna finish up making the poster. What are you guys gonna do?" Alex says changing the subject from the siblings who would continue to argue. 

"Guess we can walk around talking to people and telling them about the party. Then when you guys finish the poster we can help post it around," I say as they all nod their heads agreeing with my plan. 

"Then just text us when you guys finish up," I say to them as Eric and I walk out of the cafe, though I give Alex another hug and kiss goodbye first. 

"Let's go to the main hall and work our way around campus," I say and Eric agrees with me, then we start walking to the main hall while telling the people we pass who look like students about the party. 

Eric and I then spent almost two hours walking around telling everyone who looked like a student about the party. Though it takes a while since Eric tries to get every woman's number we come across, plus trying to convince them to come. Eventually, Alex texted me that they finished the poster and we met up with them at the main Library where they printed it out. Then we all walked around putting the poster up while handing it out to anyone we passed.
