Eastern Continent
Azalia Town
It was the start of the winter season, and the weather had begun to turn chilly. The snow had started to fall, and its serene white color, illuminated by the golden hue of the light, created a mesmerizing scene.
In the center of Azalia town stood a massive villa, built from pure white stones that blended perfectly with the surrounding snow. The villa was enormous, its boundaries stretching far and wide. Beautiful flowers of all colors, sourced from all around the world, had been planted neatly within the complex. Artificial ponds and streams of running water had been incorporated, enhancing the already breathtaking scenery.
This majestic villa, fit for royalty, belonged to the Vantistart family. The Vantistart family were the overlords of Azalia town. Not only were they one of the most powerful families on the entire eastern continent, but they were also among the most influential families in the world.
On the first floor of the villa, in a luxurious room, a young man stood, gazing out at the beautiful scenery through the large glass window. His light blue eyes reflected the snow, and his pitch-black hair framed his face. Standing slightly over six feet tall, his exquisite facial features were perfectly complemented by his lean yet muscular physique. Every muscle seemed to be in the right place, forming what could be described as a perfect body.
He was Amden Vantistart, the heir to the powerful Vantistart family and its vast consortium.
Today was his 18th birthday, marking a significant day in his life. But before he could celebrate, Amden carried a deep secret—this was his second life. He had reincarnated into this world. And the story of his first life was worth telling.
In his previous life, Amden had lived a life starkly different from his current one. Born into an extremely poor family, his father was a drunkard, and his mother was a prostitute by choice, not by circumstance. Neither of his parents cared for him. They often abused him during his childhood, and by the time he was ten, he had started working to earn a living. Despite all his hard work, he was constantly bullied, mocked, and looked down upon by society. His life had been filled with ridicule.
In his first life, Amden learned a harsh truth: power dictates everything. Even after working like a beast, he had never achieved true success. In the end, he was killed at the age of 30 as collateral damage in a gang fight.
Amden was lost in his thoughts, reminiscing about his past life, when a knock on the door brought him back to reality.
"Young master, everyone is waiting downstairs for you," a sweet voice resonated from outside the room.
Amden snapped out of his thoughts and replied, "I'm coming soon."
Today was the day of his awakening. The world he had reincarnated into was far different from the one of his past life. This was a fantasy world where everyone underwent an awakening when they turned 18. It was the day when one's destiny would be decided. On this day, they would either live a life of greatness or remain ordinary. Some could soar to the heavens, while others might plummet into the abyss.
This was a world where power was revered above all. And for Amden, who had been at the bottom of the ladder in his previous life—constantly kicked and pushed down—he desired nothing more than power.
Despite the importance of the day, Amden was unusually calm. He knew that he would experience the greatest awakening the world had ever seen. His confidence stemmed from the powerful inheritance he had received with his reincarnation.
Although he was still somewhat confused about the specifics of his reincarnation and the inheritance, he had decided to take things one step at a time and face whatever came his way.
What Amden had inherited was extraordinary. He was born with the Ancient Primordial Bloodline and the Origin Immortal Physique. In addition, when he turned 14, he had received the Universe Origin Scripture in his consciousness.
Normally, absorbing spiritual energy before the age of 18 would be harmful. Before the age of awakening, the proper pathways to circulate spiritual energy were not fully developed, and anyone attempting to absorb it would suffer great physical damage. However, the Universe Origin Scripture was unique. While it couldn't help him absorb spiritual energy directly, it allowed him to temper his body with it. For the past four years, his body had absorbed spiritual energy, strengthening and refining his physical form to an extraordinary degree.
It was widely believed that a strong physical body would enhance the talent displayed during awakening. As a result of this tempering, Amden was ridiculously strong. Even without his awakening, Amden could easily defeat an F-rank fighter using only his physical strength.
Others would work to enhance their bodies through various methods before their awakening, hoping to build a solid foundation. But Amden's foundation was something they could hardly even imagine.
Dressed casually yet still exuding an undeniable charm, Amden stepped out of his room. As soon as he opened the door, he was greeted by the sight of an extremely beautiful woman.
She was around 28 years old, wearing a formal suit. She was Cilia, Amden's personal maid and a C-rank talent. People with talent like hers were considered prodigies, and even the Vantistart family had offered her higher positions. But she had chosen to remain by Amden's side.
Cilia was an orphan. Eleven years ago, when she was 17 and Amden was 7, he had insisted his parents take her in. It had started as a childish tantrum, but after seeing the poor girl's condition, his parents had decided to take her in.
That was the moment her life changed. She was given all the resources and support she needed. The Vantistart family treated her like their own, and when she awakened, she proved to be a monstrous talent.
Upon seeing her, Amden said, "Why must you wait for me, Cilia?"
Cilia simply smiled and said nothing. She knew that asking him not to worry was futile. She had chosen to serve Amden, and she would do so willingly.
As his maid, it was her responsibility to care for him and remain by his side. Amden also knew how deeply his cute maid was devoted to him. If outsiders heard Amden describe her as "cute," they might choke on their breath.
