Several days had passed since Amden had used his soul marking on Lucas and Luna.
During that time, Lucas and Luna had settled into their new life and trained diligently to increase their strength. Just like their awakening talents, they displayed genius-level aptitude in understanding various subjects.
They had become proficient in the basics of duelling and combat, while Amden himself had immersed in his training, significantly improving both his strength and his grasp of battle techniques.
It was the day Amden had finally decided to visit his maternal grandparents—a visit he had postponed for several days.
The Louisa family, one of the elite families, was based in the nearby town of Limbdo City, just a few hours' drive from Azalia Town.
As usual, Amden travelled in an extravagantly luxurious car, sitting in the passenger seat while Cilia drove. His convoy consisted of three cars, with his car positioned in the middle. In Azalia Town, he could travel without a convoy thanks to the Vantistart family's influence, which kept the area relatively safe.
But outside, he needed a full fledged convoy which consisted of at least one SS Rank and 2 S Rank.
After several hours on the road, the convoy reached Limbdo City. The vehicles proceeded unhindered toward the central part of the city and soon arrived in front of an enormous tower.
Amden stood outside, gazing in awe at its grandeur. The tower, made entirely of glass, was the Louisa Tower.
It not only served as the residence for his grandparents but also as the headquarters of the Louisa businesses. Amden guessed that only a select few, those extremely trusted, were granted access to this building.
He walked inside and took one of the private elevators to the top floor.
There, as soon as he stepped outside of the lift, he was greeted by an extremely doting old couple.
Alex Louisa, Amden's grandfather, held a peak SS rank and possessed thunder affinity. Next to him was Angelica Maguana, his grandmother, a peak SSS rank with ice affinity—the very reason the Louisa family was considered elite.
Their faces beamed with joy as they welcomed Amden. After showering him with affection for a long time, they finally sat down.
"Son, you are so heartless. You hardly visit us," Angelica chided playfully.
Amden smiled wryly.
"Don't worry, I'll come to see you more often," he replied.
Alex snorted, "Let it be, Angelica. I hear he has been working extremely hard, leaving him no time for old folks like us."
Angelica then chuckled slyly, "Good. And you did well by bringing your little lover with you."
At this, Cilia's face, sitting beside Amden, turned red, and even Amden could not help but smile.
The old couple talked at length about their beloved grandson, showering him with all the affection they could. Amden cherished their company; he knew how much they loved him and felt truly blessed to have such a caring family.
After a few hours, Amden brought up the topic of his awakening. He informed his grandparents about his talent and his all-element affinity.
Initially shocked by the revelation, they soon puffed up with pride.
Amden's revelations did not stop there. He continued by discussing his inheritance—a further shock to the old couple.
Once the news had settled, he distributed the Cultivation Scriptures to them.
Since Angelica possessed an ice affinity, he gave her the same Scripture his mother had received.
He then presented Alex with the "Lightning Thunder Divine Scripture" along with several battle techniques tailored for them. Both grandparents were extremely pleased and happy with these gifts.
Amden spent several more hours with them, it was time of departure and the old couple was extremely reluctant to see him leave.
"You brat, you must visit me regularly. Don't forget this old lady," Angelica said with almost a crying face.
"Yes, boy, you must come—we miss you a lot," added Alex with a doting face.
After another few more hours on the road, Amden returned to the Vantistart manor.
Later, lying on his bed, Amden began planning his future course of action. The new villa would soon be constructed, and his birthday banquet was approaching. He knew that such banquets were arenas for elite families to play their power games. He was well aware that many fools would try to undermine him.
The chances of such fool and such challenges were high for two reasons. First, rumors of his supposed uselessness might prompt quite a few people to test him or attempt to ruin his reputation.
Second, he was not an ordinary heir—he was the heir to two elite families, with an inheritance and a power base far stronger than any other elite heir.
Amden as he thought about these things, scoffed at these challenges. He was determined to crush all such petty games with sheer power.
Few had any inkling of his ruthlessness; only the Carters had witnessed it, and even they remained unaware of his true personal strength. Fortunately, the Carters had suppressed the incident at the auction house, and even Moonfox consortium had intervened to keep the news under wraps. No one was allowed to tarnish their reputation for fairness and impartiality in business.
The approaching banquet promised to be an interesting event.
