Natale was shivering in anger and humiliation.
On the other hand, his uncle, Felix, had a tense expression on his face. For him and his family, things had completely slipped out of his hands. All that had already happened was a complete humiliation for the Clove family. For elite families such as theirs, how they were perceived and viewed upon in the outer world was an extremely important matter. Reputation mattered a lot to them.
But now, even if his family recovered somewhat from the mess, they themselves had created, Natale would never command the same respect again. Not all the younger generations of other influential families would look up to Natale as their leader. His respect had been completely crushed by the young Vantistart.
Natale finally could not take it any further. His anger got the best of him, and he lost his composure completely.
He stood up and roared, "Bastard, I am going to kill you."
At his sudden roar, the spectators were stunned. They did not even completely register what Natale meant when he rushed at full speed toward Amden.
Natale paid no heed to the 'agreement' of not using spiritual energy. Natale circulated his spiritual energy at a fast pace and had also coated his sword with a thin layer of spiritual energy.
Although at any other time this would have garnered a lot of praise- since coating a sword with spiritual energy required a very high level of control over the spiritual energy and achieving such a feat at his age was definitely praiseworthy- this time people were more worried about what Natale was about to do.
Natale's speed this time was many times faster than his previous speed.
For all the people witnessing the duel, there was no way Amden could protect himself from that strike. And it meant only one thing: death.
At the incoming strike, Amden did not even flinch.
At the last moment, when Natale's sword was just about to be severe halfway vertically, he raised his right hand and clipped the incoming sword strike between his index and middle finger.
His grip was like iron. The sword was forced to a standstill in a single instant, and it did not even move a distance equivalent to a grain of sand.
This scene had everyone in the crowd on their feet and their hearts in their mouths. Their eyes bulged open as if it would fall at any moment.
Even before they had any time to process what had actually happened and before Natale could react to the new circumstances, Amden attacked.
Amden's closed his left hand into a fist and slammed into Natale's chest.
Natale's chest caved in, and Natale was sent flying to the edge of the duelling stage.
Natale's rib bones had been shattered as few bones protruded out, and blood was seeping from his chest.
Amden moved, much faster than Natale had moved. He reached near Natale and smashed his leg into Natale's face.
The stage cracked, and Natale's face was buried half into the stage. There was pin-drop silence in the hall.
Although Natale was still breathing and was alive, he had been badly injured.
No one broke the silence for few moments. Everyone had been too shocked to react to the situation.
Amden turned and muttered, "Idiot."
Everyone in the crowd was still processing what had happened when Felix's angry and furious roar tore apart the deafening silence, "Brat, how dare you?"
Just like his nephew, he too lost control and forgot where he was.
He was there to protect his nephew, and now he had been plummeted in the ground with only a thread of life left.
With his roar came the menacing aura of his peak S Rank.
He cared not for any of the consequences and charged toward Amden with full force, with the intent to kill him in one strike.
Rexon screamed, "Bastard, stop!"
Although Rexon, too, was a peak S Rank like Felix, he was a bit far away from his son and was already a few precious seconds too late.
Felix had been just a few metres away from Amden and was just about to land his strike when everything changed.
An overwhelming aura filled the garden. A frightening pressure enveloped everyone present there and though no one was forced to kneel, they were barely standing.
Felix, on the other hand, had been completely suppressed, and he vomited a mouthful of blood.
Following the suppression, the temperature rose drastically; it felt like everything would melt in the heat.
Then, Clara Samaila appeared. The aura she was releasing was of SSS Rank. Rexon had given the SSS spiritual crystal to Clara.
She had been absorbing it for the past months, and with the help of the technique from Amden, she had broken into SSS Rank.
Everyone widened their eyes in surprise; the Vantistart family now had another SSS Rank.
Clara spoke without any expression, "It seems that my family have been lying low for too long."
Her chilly voice echoed, "Does any tom, dick and harry think that they can touch the heir of the Vantistart family and there would be no consequences?"
"Should I kill a few as warning?" Although her voice was calm and expressionless, it was no less than a death order in the ears of others.
After a few moments, she finally eased her pressure. Then, with a wave of her hand, Felix and Natale were thrown and smashed out of the villa, and she disappeared.
Then, though, the banquet resumed. Ravien, Trot, and the girl who had been with Natale, along with their protectors, instantly left.
A few other people closely connected with the Cloves or Carters also left.
Slowly, normalcy returned to the banquet. With the news of the addition of another SSS Rank and the emergence of a monstrous genius, people started to flatter the Vantistart family in order to forge a good relationship with them.
Even the old people who were accompanying Dramon were stupefied upon seeing Clara's aura. Although they did not react much, they were in turmoil. The banquet continued until evening and finally ended on a happy note.
