Electric Grave

It frightened him, the creature eerily growled his name. Solid knew the best thing to show right now was not fear, he didn't know why the creature said his name but he had to prepare himself. The creature then growled and screamed loudly.

"SNAAAAAAAKKKEEEE!!" The creature yelled as electricity began to form around him, he threw his fist toward Solid but the rookie narrowly dodged the punch as the creature dented the wall. Quickly, Snake drew out his handgun and began shooting at the creature only for a field of electricity to appear and repel the bullets. Snake couldn't believe what he was seeing,

" It just deflected the bullets…what the hell is this thing?! " worriedly thought Snake. The creature then lunged for Snake, Solid couldn't avoid it in time as the creature punched Solid Snake in the face. Solid felt his face get crackled by electricity and the sharp knuckles bruised and cut his face a little bit. He was sent flying towards a wall, his vision hazy and his ears ringing from the impact of that punch. Snake's vision began to regain focus as the monster was sprinting towards him. Solid quickly leapt out the way and whacked him in the knee with the handgun. Snake then pressed the barrel against his knee and unloaded the entire magazine into it. The monster grunted in pain as Solid followed up by kicking him in the jaw, Snake then rolled backwards and threw a C4 at him. The monster caught it and Snake quickly detonated it while it was in his hand. Snake looked at the smoke as it cleared only to see the monster standing unphased by the blast. Before Snake could react, the monster punched Snake in the gut, making him spit out blood. The monster then hit him with a jab in the face then a couple of jabs to the ribs, the electric pulses surging through his body. The monster then growled and roared as he grabbed Snake and began squeezing the rookie tightly. Snake proceeded to punch the monster over and over again in the face, trying to free himself from the monster. Solid then gripped onto his face and jammed his thumb into his right eye, forcing it to scream. Desperately, the monster tightened its grip on Solid Snake and began releasing a giant field of electrical current, forcing Solid to scream in pain. The surge of electricity burning and agonizing his body in a form of pain he's never felt before. Solid could feel his heart begin to pound rapidly as possible.

"SNAAAAAAKKKKEEEEEEEEE!" cried the monster as Solid was gripping onto its shoulder, trying to stay strong but he felt like giving in slowly. Solid then proceeded to continue and punch the open eye wound to try and weaken it but the monster just squeezed tighter and released a powerful current. Solid Snake was desperate, he needed to act now before his heart fully gave out from the surge. As a last ditch attempt, he began punching the monster's chest piece, trying to crack it loose with the little time he had left. Miraculously, Snake got it loose and began to slowly pull it out but the current was stronger in the chest piece, his hand was getting zapped and burned but with every last strength in his body, he pulled and ripped it out, forcing the electric titan to release him. Snake dropped down to his knees as the monster shrieked in pain from the attack, he screamed loudly as Solid coughed out blood and slowly got himself up. The monster slowly stomped his way towards Solid as he weakly assumed his stance,

"C'mon…you big piece of shit…c'mon!" called out Snake as he gestured his hands to come closer to him. The monster leaned back and swung his fist towards Snake but the rookie narrowly dodged the attack. In his weakened state, Solid Snake kicked the monster in the ribs and clasped his hands together then whacked the monster in his head. Snake then punched the monster in the face, then punched it three more times in the chest to damage him more and then with all the strength he has left to muster, every ounce of power and determination left to leap up and ram the monster in the chest with his knee and to top it off, he clinched onto the monster's head and rammed his knee straight into his face, causing it to fall down onto his back. Snake then collapsed right beside the monster as it heaved and gasped like a fish out of water. Solid Snake breathed heavily as he couldn't believe what he just went through, he was weak and tired by that entire fight. Solid turned towards the monster and then noticed it began to try to say something, he raised an eyebrow and simply heard the monster say this,

"Ivan…forgive…me…" the monster spoke as he took his last breath. Solid was too beat up to pay mind to it, he just simply crawled towards Madnar's door and leaned against the wall,

"Snake? Are you ok?" called out Dr Madnar,

"Yeah…just give me a minute." muttered Snake as he leaned against the wall, closing his eyes for a brief moment.

" Heh…guess we've been dealing with the worst of it here, David. Helicopters, Bulltanks, goofy mercenaries, robots and now zombies, it's only been halfway through this mission and I feel like shit. How did it know my name? It kept shouting 'Snake' and looked at me like it hated my guts, maybe I'm thinking too much into it… " Snake thought as he drifted off for a moment. While exhausted, he saw himself in that dream again, the woman saying the same thing about how there can only be one Snake and one Boss. It felt like a blissful fantasy but also like a distant and vivid memory. He then began hearing the woman saying Snake over and over again, then the woman's voice shifted into what began sounding like Madnar's voice. Solid slowly opened his eyes and saw Madnar taking a knee right in front of him,

"Are you alright, my boy?" Madnar asked as Snake's vision and hearing came back to normal,

"Yeah, I just needed a few minutes, do you have any idea what that thing was?" Asked Snake, Madnar shook his head.

"Unfortunately it's a mystery to me." He replied, Snake then realized at that moment Madnar was out of the cell, he remembered putting him back in there before the fight.

"Wait, how did you get out of the cell?" Snake questioned,

"I question that too, a while after you passed out from your beating. The doors mysteriously opened and then I saw your keycard and this knife beside you." Madnar said as he held a combat knife with an engraving on the blade.

"Huh…'Les Enfant Terrible'?" questioned Snake,

"This has been one strange mission for you so far." stated Madnar,

"Very." Snake replied as he dialed Fox on his codec,

"Fox, are you there?" called out Snake,

"Oh god, for a second we thought we almost lost you, what the hell happened?" worriedly asked Fox,

"Got sent to the sewers, fought a robot, a zombie and I found Madnar ." Snake replied casually,

"Wait what did you fight?" Fox asked sounding flabbergasted,

"A robot and a zombie with electrical powers. It was really terrifying." Snake told him,

"You shouldn't feel that way here, Snake. Just like pain, fear does not exist in FOXHOUND. It will be something you'll face every time in the battlefield so you better get used to it by now:" Fox replied,

"Thanks, where are you guys?" asked Solid,

"Second floor."

"Alright, we're going to meet you on the third floor. The server room there has a super computer that we have to destroy to be able to contact Big Boss and also give us an edge against the Metal Gear."

"Honestly against that thing, we'll take any tactical advantage we can get. Alright, we'll meet you there."

"Right, make sure to meet Blackbird, Ellen and Golden Eagle, they should still be on the roof, Snake out." He ended the call and then got himself up,

"Let's move Doc." Snake told Madnar. Madnar stood behind him as Snake exited the cell and began making his way to the elevator, feeling more optimistic about his chances against the dreaded TX-55 Metal Gear.
