As many people left school after three P.M, Laura waited to see John outside the school entrance while it was snowing.
"Why did John just leave me there? I thought the cheerleading squad was supposed to cheer on the new basketball team." Laura looking at the snowflakes falling.
Suddenly, John came out of the door putting on his winter coat. "Damn motorcycle, although that stunt was badass, it really messed up the gym floor. I guess I'll stay after school tomorrow to help the janitors clean it up I guess."
Laura ran towards John. "John sweetie! Can I talk to you please?!"
"Oh my God. I just came out of school. What do you want?"
"Well John you see. It was at the pep rally."
"Look Laura, if you're going to talk about the tire marks on the gym floor, then I'll stay after school tomorrow."
"No. It was more about me and my girls at the pep rally."
John looked at Laura with a solemn face. "I'm listening."
"So earlier today. Me and the girls were waiting to cheer on the basketball team."
"Mmm- hmm."
"And all of a sudden, the dance team was there instead. Why is it that they were out there and not us? I thought you loved us, especially me."
"Babe, it's not about love alright. As the King of High School, I need to introduce more things to the school and I want to make things different this year so I kidnapped a bus full of dancers, scooped their insides out and replaced their insides with AI controlled robots. It's cheaper and more efficient than forcing them to dance for me."
"But John sweetie, when will me and the girls have our turn on the basketball team?"
"Never."
"Never?"
"Laura, doesn't your bimbo mind understand anything, you are being replaced this season. I want to see whether the dance team can cheer up the school after Troy's death."
John walked towards his car. "Maybe you can have a turn during the spring season, you know."
"But the cheerleading season would be over during that time you know that."
Laura then grabbed John's arms. "Babe please let my team back on the field! I'll do anything for you! I'm planning to kill John like you wanted! I hired the basketball players and I might even-"
Suddenly, John headbutted Laura so hard that she fell on the snow.
"Get your hands off me you bitch! I'm letting the dance team replace your bimbos and that's final!"
John got into his car starting the engine. "And for trying to shake me around, you're walking home in this cold weather."
John left the school parking lot leaving Laura lying on the snow. However, Laura looked at the sky while laying on the snow watching the snowflakes fall on her face.
"This snow. Why do I have this feeling of warmth and nostalgia?"
The next day after school, people were doing their extracurriculars whether it was being on a sport's team or a club. As the winter was a quiet season, the school was also quiet as some people wanted to enjoy a quiet winter.
In the physics class, the physics club was being held with Mr. Hazelnut being the coordinator of the club discussing physics related topics.
"As you can see, Earth's gravity is nine-point eight meters per second square and so if we use that equation, we can use that to determine the velocity of how the projectile launched." Mr. Hazelnut throws a tennis ball up and then it lands on the ground.
Jim was interested as he was constantly taking notes of everything Mr. Hazelnut was saying.
Suddenly, a door slammed open.
"My goodness, who would try to kick down the door?" Mr. Hazelnut looking at the opened door.
"Sorry Teach. But I need to get some tutoring for my physics lessons!"
"Wow. One of the basketball players. Of course you can take a seat and-"
However, Mr. Hazelnut has been ignored as the basketball player snatched the tennis ball out of his hand throwing the ball at a Jim's physics project causing it to fall as well as it causing a chain reaction making the other projects from the other students collapse to the ground.
"Oops. I guess throwing a tennis ball doesn't teach me anything about physics." The player left the class laughing behind the class.
"My project." Jim was disappointed as it took him a couple of months to build his project.
It wasn't his that was affected but others as well as the other student's projects were destroy while some were lucky to have at least a dent.
"Holy moly students! Are your projects okay?" Mr. Hazelnut looks around.
"No. I worked so hard on this." Jim holding his broken project.
"I'm sorry Jimmy. I should've been a better teacher."
"First of all it's Jim and secondly, why didn't you say anything back to that student? He did it on purpose."
"Jim, it's not that easy. If I spoke up against the basketball team, their vice leader would do something that would be unnecessary."
"What do you mean by 'unnecessary.'"
Mr. Hazelnut looked around. Then he took a sticky note writing something. When he finished, he hands it to Jim reading:
THEY WILL HANG ME ON THE BASKETBALL HOOP IF I SPOKE UP AGAINST THEM!!!
Jim was shocked as he knew something was going on.
Meanwhile, Dwayne, in the wrestling club, was practicing his skills as he had the muscles to join the club. However, as he finished wrestling his classmate, something unexpected was about to happen.
"Good match dude." Dwayne helped pick up his peer.
"Yeah no problem! I can't believe I just wrestled the new football captain!"
"Well, former now."
As his peer left, Dwayne announced, "Who's next! I don't mind wrestling anyone!"
"Oh I'm next!" Someone behind Dwayne spoke.
Suddenly, Dwayne was severely hit by a folding chair knocking him down on the ground by a basketball player.
"Ah hell yeah! I guess watching WWE wasn't a waste of time! Now time for the final blow!"
The player unfolded the chair and stood on it.
"Now it's time for the top turnbuckle!"
The player fell on Dwayne's stomach severely causing Dwayne to cough out saliva.
"Wow Dwayne, for someone who was the captain of the football team, you can't even wrestle." The player left with his folding chair.
Dwayne later went down there for a while until some of his peers saw him and took him to the nurse's office.
Running towards the theater, Scott was late for the poetry club as he had to finish his world literature assignment after class.
"Crap! crap! crap! I almost forgot about the club! I hope I'm not late to it!"
Slamming the theater door open, Scott ran towards the stage seeing many people in seats.
"Running up on the stage, Scott approached Natalie.
"Natalie! I'm so sorry for being late! I had an overdue assignment I had to do!"
However, Natalie was calm as she related to Scott as they were both students. "It's okay Scott, sometimes we all have stuff we have to do in our lives. Now take a seat and we will begin in a few minutes."
Scott took a seat. As he took a seat, Scott recognized a similar face. "Bryan!"
Bryan, across from Scott, was surprised as he didn't know Scott would be joining them.
"Uh. Hi." Bryan waved.
"Bryan, what are you doing in the poetry club? I didn't know you were interested in poetry."
"Well yeah. I always carry a journal to write about my feelings and I came here to express my feelings in this room."
"I see. I mean since we're in the same gym class and club, we should be friends."
"W-wait. Just like that! I thought you need proper introductions to be friends!"
"I mean we did last week. And we both have the same disliking for Laura, so I think it's nice to be friends."
"Well I guess you're right. Then I guess we're friends!" Bryan smiled.
"Alright! Then let's get started with poetry."
"Alright guys. Welcome to the poetry club. Today we will discuss what poetry means to us. Poetry can mean what your feelings desire. Some can be about adventure, some can be about romance, and some can be-"
"Destructive!" Someone interrupted Natalie.
Natalie looked behind to see who that was and it was none other than Drake.
"Oh it's you." Natalie spoke in disappointment.
"Natalie. Why are you lecturing these liberal losers? Why not join me and vape outside like we used to last year." Drake taking a vape in the theater.
"First of all, no smoking in the theater and secondly, I decided to become a new leaf and quit that stuff. And I think it's better if you quit as well Drake."
Ignoring Natalie, Drake kept vaping. "Aw damn, I miss the good old days."
"If you want to be that way, then so be it!" Drake walked towards the table of refreshments and knocked over it causing the coffee as well as the scones and donuts to be knocked over.
"Hey!" Natalie tried to stop him.
However, Natalie was pushed to the ground.
Suddenly, Drake decided to cause more damage and destroy Natalie's only coffee machine as coffee was spilt on the floor as well as glass being everyone on the stage.
"Natalie. I thought we were partners in crime. Now you're just a damn sissy for these losers." Drake left, leaving a mess behind him.
Natalie, in disappointment, tried to get the nearest mop and broom to clean the mess off.
Scott in confusion wanted an explanation from Natalie, "Wait. 'Partner in crime.' What does he mean? And you know him?!"
"Scott, this is something I really don't like to talk about. You see, three years ago, I used to date Drake causing mayhem in town. But when I matured, I realized that what I was doing with him was wrong. So I decided to apply to this school to become a new leaf and use poetry as my passion."
"I see." Scott looked at the mess.
"Everyone, I am very sorry to say this, but poetry is canceled today because of an unfortunate occurrence." Natalie looked at her classmates.
Everyone, including Bryan, was disappointed as some left the theater, while some stayed to help clean up the mess.
"Natalie. I'm sorry. Maybe I can-" Scott was interrupted from his phone.
Scott looked at his phone which texted:
Hey. Can we meet in the hallway? Something has happened to us.
"Hey Natalie. My friend just called and he needs me so can I-"
"Of course. We can clean this mess before the after hours end." Natalie sweeps off the glass from the coffee machine.
"Natalie. I can help you if you want." Bryan came into the conversation.
"That's very sweet of you Bryan."
Bryan went towards the nearest janitor closet helping to clean the mess.
Scott, feeling very upset, left the theater knowing that his first day of poetry club was canceled.
In the hallway, Scott, Jim, and Dwayne all met up wanting to discuss the incidents in their extracurricular.
"Scott. Are you feeling alright?" Jim looked at him.
"No, my first day of poetry club has been canceled. You?"
"Not great. A physics project that I've worked on for so long has been destroyed by a basketball teammate."
"Wait really? The vice captain for the basketball team made a big mess that the club was canceled."
Dwayne groaned with bandages on his head.
"What happened to you?" Jim gives a confused face towards Dwayne.
"A basketball player just hit me with a chair and slammed me on the stomach."
"Another basketball player?" Scott sees that something is going on.
"Yeah. For some reason, the basketball team is going after us."
"But why?" Dwayne added.
"I think I know why." Scott then walked away from Jim and Dwayne.
To have a word with Drake.
