Ophelia's Secret (4)

Remi was sitting cross-legged on his bed, pouring over the books he had bought from the bookstore the night before.

He had been in that position since last night. The gentle yellow rays of the morning sun peeked in through the curtains drawn over the windows in the bedroom.

There was a knock on his door, breaking him from his reading. Remi stood up, his muscles locking on him. He stretched his arms over his head and popped his back with a small side twist, all while making his way to the door.

"You missed breakfast," Dane greeted him as soon as he opened the door. The smell of sausage and biscuits assault his nose, causing his stomach to rumble loudly. Dane held up a small brown paper sack.

"Thank you." Remi took the bag and opened it. Inside were two biscuit sandwiches with sausage and eggs on them. Remi took one out and happily gobbled it up.

"Have you made any progress?"
