"Wouldn't you just try re-considering joining the cheerleading club?" Lyra asked with pouted lips despite her frustrated face. She had been asking Jazel long since before now and she says nothing but….
"No!" Jazel replied with an expressionless and dormant face as she arranged her locker blankly. Lyra had seriously been disturbing her about this whole cheerleading thing and it was annoying.
"C'mon Jazel, do you know what this means? This is having the chance to cheer a bunch of hot, cool guys in this school… plus, this is the most supping club in this whole school…. Seriously!" Lyra further stated as a matter of fact.
Jazel finally closed her locker and faced Lyra "oh Lyra, think about it, why would I ever want to waste my time cheering for a bunch of idiots called 'hot guys'?" she asked.
"They are not bunch of idiots!" she frowned then she smiled again as she waved at them (the hot guys) while they were passing.
They were Alex, Jason and Allen. She was staring at them with dreamy eyes most especially to Allen. "They…. are hot guys" she concluded.
As she spoke, there was a group of students that passed by and of course, with the hottest guy in their middle front. Yes, there were guys there but mostly girls."He's got lots of girlfriends" she smiled as she waved a 'hi' to Alex who waved her back.
Alex also waved at Jazel, but she returned the gesture with a very deadly glare. if looks could kill, Alex would have died, resurrected, died, resurrected and die again.
Thankfully, looks could not kill so, Alex quickly faced his front and began to speed walk till he reached his class.
"Jazel!! Why did you do that?!" Lyra asked with a bit of a loud voice after watching the scene. "Literally, he did not deserve that you know!" she said with a raised eyebrow.
"Duhh…. Whatever, I'll answer you right after that" she said with a snap and the bell rang. "class" she informed like as if Lyra did not know what the bell was for.
"Oh! I know it's for class, Jazel😒" she frowned as she walked forward so annoyed.
"No need to get annoyed, let's just talk later" Jazel replied non chalant. As they both knew, the later was never.
Lyra had been Jazel's friend for a while now since this school. They were also roommates, not literally…. The school happened to be the type that had accommodations in it in case you would like to stay in school, or your house is so far, oh whatever reason. So, it was not mandatory to lodge in school.
Jazel happened to lodge with lyra when she wasn't living close enough to school. Lyra had always just wanted to be a nice friend to Jazel, but the latter wasn't so positive. She had always made it clear that she didn't like friends in her life, just people.
But lyra wasn't giving up, she would make sure to always be on jazel's side no matter what.

**later that day, back in Jason's school room**
"Okay, wow, that look was…. Shall I say…. Wonderful or…." Allen shuttered quite unsure of what to say. He was talking about the earlier scene of the deadly stares.
"Of course, it was wonderful" Jason said with a hint of humor in his voice. He faced Alex "wasn't it?" he smirked playfully.
"It's not in any way funny Jason" Alex frowned.
"Wait, what actually happened?" Allen asked cluelessly.
"I sure will tell ya!" Jason said with all gladness and joyfulness as he prepared himself to say the story.
*FLASH BACK*
"Where are you going? With books…. And a bag? Jason asked as he saw Alex arranging and preparing his backpack. What surprised him now was that this Alex was actually carrying books.
"I am…." He paused thinking of what to say "I'm in a good mood today" he shrugged "and I am currently heading out of the room" he said at the door.
"Firstly, you are always in a good mood" Jason started "and secondly, you are heading to some…."
"Yeah, I am going to look for someone's trouble" Alex declared casually. "a girl's trouble" he added smiling mischievously.
"Oh wow," Jason rolled his eyes "and who exactly?" he asked.
"I don't know, anyone my spirit leads me to" he replied as he reached for the door still wearing his charming but this time mischievous smile.
"But…."
"Later!!" Alex shouted from outside and closed the door.
Jason sighed. What else?
This….
Alex left the room, took some more books from his locker, was actually carrying a bag, because normally he had girls for each of those things, not like he forced them, they always volunteered to do it. He was really something.
He went to the school's café and collected thick chocolate from there. Then he went for his mission.
Now innocent Jazel was walking hastily to somewhere, like she was almost running when she mistakenly bumped into Alex. No…. Alex purposely bumped into her.
Intentionally.
"Oops, so sorry" she said as she bent down to pick up his books.
She gave him and he collected them smiling, as she bent down to pick her own books.
"Oops! So sorry!" she heard him say as she felt liquid pour down from her hair to her toe. Thereby staining the books, her dress, her hair, everything was in mess.
People passed by and watched the scene as Alex laughed and left but…. Gosh, they dared not laugh. Not like she would do anything to them. But they didn't just have the audacity.
Apart from the fact she was an introvert, she was the clubs and all society prefects which made sure she had to socialize by force. By the way, she was really cool and admired by lots of students.
She stared at his back as he walked away. And that was where the annoyance for him started from.
*FLASH BACK ENDED*
"And that is the end of the story of how Alex and Jazel became enemies, and…." Jason was suddenly interrupted by the sound of Allen's laughter. He was so carried away that he failed to notice the confused look on his friends' faces.
Then he stopped and adjusted himself on his seat "Ahem…" he cleared his throat "okay, you were saying"
"I seriously don't seem to understand, like, what's so funny dude?" Alex asked with a raise eyebrow and an annoyed look.
"Hey! Everything is funny dude" Allen replied with a hint of laughter tapping Alex's shoulder gently.
Then he continued "seriously man, of all people's trouble to look for, I mean of all girls, your so-called spirit lead you to Jazel Martins?! Wow! you are really bold" he concluded with a smile.
"You know that right…" Jason said as he walked over to Alex and cupped his face with one hand "I cannot blame Jazel for shooting you those deadly glares, I mean you kind of deserve it…. or something" he smiled. "By the way, imma go grab a drink" he said leaving.
"I'll come with you" Allen said following behind. Then he reached the door and gave him a 'be strong' gesture as he closed the door.
Alex just sat and sighed.
