The sound of his alarm woke him up from his peaceful slumber.
He hated waking up so early in the morning.
Worse!
He hated mondays even more.
With a loud groan from benath his sheets, he reached for his alarm clock and yanked it from on top of the bedside table where it laid to turn it off with his eyelids still shut while making an effort to find the 'Dismiss' button.
"Ugh," Finally turning the loud alarm clock off,he dropped it back on top of the ooden three drawer bedside table where it belonged turning to the other side to continue sleeping.
"OSAGIE!." His mother's voice could be heard from a distance and her heels making the Koi koi sound on the tiled ground indicating she was very near to his room.As if being dipped in hot water,Aaron Amahle jolted up from his bed, in the process, falling off and landing on his butt.
Another groan escaped his lips same time the thirty seven year old lady walked in crossing her arms over her chest giving her son the 'what are you still doing in bed' look.
"Bathroom.Now!." She pointed her manicured fingers to the golden brown door with a commanding tone.
One thing was for sure,Felicity was definitely the one person Aaron feared. Not his principal, not even his teachers or his excuse of a dad,but his mom. She's always been that strict mom with a disciplinarian attitude. He loved her for that. She always knew exactly when to be strict ,and soft towards
him.
Felicity Amahle was a thirty-seven year old woman, working as a banker in a micro finance bank somewhere in Lagos. She had this lovely dark skin and beautiful chestnut brown eyes. A spontaneous dress sense and beautiful figure.
She was like both a mom and a dad to him.
His dad was a competely different case. A man he completely despised .
Aaron was like a carbon copy of Ambrose. Some would think they were twins and not 'Father × Son'.
And he hated it.
He hated the fact that he looked like that man,and he most times feared he'd turn to him one day.
"Go have your bath while I bring out your uniform."
"I can do it myself mom." He grumbled, getting up from the floor and dusting himself.Felicity rolled her eyes doing otherwise and handing him his towel.
"Its almost seven a.m and you have to be in school by seven thirty.Come o,what kind of example are you setting to your juniors,a whole prefect like you." He rolled his eyes.
"I'm not the one who begged them to give me a post" He grumbled.
"Its like you want slap,ba?" Felicity quirked her perfectly shaped eyebrows at him in a scolding manner.
The boy sighed, muttering a:"I'm sorry" to his mother. He knew better not to challenge his mother.
Besides,it was way too early for another one of her 'you-want-to-kill-me-before-my-time' rants.
"Better. Now to the bathroom, you stink." His lips tugged up a bit.
"If you like give birth there you hear?Cos' i know you can use ten hours just to bathe." He rolled his eyes shutting the door. Typical mom.
"And if you're not out of there in the next ten minutes, I swear, Aaron Osagie Timothy Amahle,I'll come and drag you out of there.Naked or not."She yelled
He stood there in disbelief. "Mom!"
"Nine minutes!."

Classes were extra slow. It felt like an eternity. To make it worse, they had physics two periods in a row,and they weren't even done with the first period. Aaron felt like banging his head on the wall a million times.
He had never been this bored in his entire life.
God.I wish Haleema was here. Aaron sighed. His girlfriend was in another classroom, having accounting. Sometimes Aaron wished they shared similar classes so they'd get to spend more time together. But Haleema was a commercial student, while he was a science student. They only ever stayed together when they were having Maths, English, economics, and history.
There were some days where Aaron felt like he'd die if he had to stay another second without her,and this was one of those days. It seldom happened to him, him feeling vulnerable without her and acting like a lovesick bitch.
He hated how clingy he was to her most times. He hated how obsessed he had grown most times. He didn't like how his love for her had turned him. How he needed to hold her and just hear her voice....he didn't like how she was able to pull down his hard guy hard guy act and turn him into puny.
Aaron Amahle was utterly and completely inlove with Haleema Sanusi.
He may be a seventeen year old boy with little or less knowledge of what real love actually is,but he knows that what he feels for Haleema is beyond just 'liking each other' ,or being infatuated.
He may not be surrounded with the best examples of what love is,and maybe it's just him being a stupid teenager. Maybe he doesn't know what the hell he's feeling. Maybe he's just going through a silly phase,as his father would always tell him.
But one thing's for sure, Haleema Sanusi owned him.
His heart,his mind,his thoughts,his soul. Everything.
She was in complete control.
It could just be puppy love. It could just be children pretending to be adults. But Aaron knows, Haleema Sanusi will forever be his first love.
The girl who changed him. The girl who stole his heart. The girl who took his breathe away. The girl who he was completely crazy about. The girl who he loves.
Haleema Sanusi was his everything.
Screw what the adults think.
