Resentment

Wakuba:

As I said before betrayal of Ruva had the major impact on Kalhar's thinking abilities. He presented himself as an obedient son and a lover for a long time of two years. In these years he was able acquiring the complete trust of Demon God and Ruva.

They never suspected him so was his acting skills. I was already a fool blinded by the illusions of wealth and power. At that point I only prioritised myself above all. Being under the shelter of demons sharing same space and air, now I was also one of them. My behaviour, the level of thinking gave a tough competition to the evil minds of demons.

Lives lost, destroyed kingdoms, blood shed nothing was a matter of concern to me till the things were in my favour.

After the incidence of betrayal by his love Kalhar trusted no one. But due to the common cause he was still close to me. I was the assigned pawn of the Demon God to steal the Blood stone and stones of creation. Kalhar needed power, to gain that he needed my support.

In order to get my loyalty, he manipulated my mind.

"I know my father has offered immortality and wealth in return to your work but do you think that he will not break his promise?! I know him better than you do, he never takes the promises made seriously. Once you have been utilised he will dispose you just like the thrash."

I kind of knew that but I was never given any options to choose in the first place, I had to accept his proposal. I could sense the feeling of bitter resentment in the emotions expressed by Kalhar. So now I have the option to choose. Though Kalhar was promising I have to think thorough. A mistake made I will be sent directly to the hell.

In order to safeguard my life, I have to play a smart decisive game I decided. I joined Kalhar in his plan and offered my obedience to him. In return he promised to protect my life and provide me the life I manifested.

Kalhar continued to gain confidence of Khalida. I was sent to Alaka as a spy in disguise.

Alaka, I think you all know.

Everyone nodded as yes and Orzala was dumbfounded.

She cursed herself in mind, "I am the only one who has no idea of her own homeland. How pitiful! No one cared to explain me. And Saisha the bloody serpent queen, bitch. She knew everything. Unless why she would only make a slave for creating such blunder. Really she is a lady of poison. She even radiates poison."

Mekhala was laughing hearing the thoughts of Orzala.

Saisha giving a death glare to Orzala, "Did you just curse at me?"

"What! No. How can I curse my master?! Never"

Mekhala and Saisha shaking head in disbelief, "This girl!"

Men in the room starring at them in surprise.

"heee. It's nothing carry on Wakuba", Orzala uttered.

"Huh! Where I was?"

Neihar shouted, "Spy in disguise"

"Male version of Orzala", Mekhala mumbled.

Okay. I was sent to the Palace of Alaka as a guard. No one recognised other than her. Sanaita my little girl.

Orzala pov: "I bet there is no chance they know her".

"Wakuba let me explain them about her"

"No…We know her", echoed the room.

She was embarrassed to know that again she is the only one to realise the things late.

Come back to story.

I was assigned to guard Sanaita. She chose me. As the loving daughter of Adara, The Prince of Alaka, she was loved and cared by all. Everything she wished was on her feet.

The King of Alaka was already in his death bed counting his days. After a month he died, entrusting the whole kingdom to Adara. He was crowned the king. He was a great king. He always worked for the betterment of his kingdom and its subjects.

This little kiddo of mine, Sanaita was kind, considerate. As a small girl of nine she was so mature. She sometimes dined with me, brought expensive cloths as gift, would convince me to play with her, using cute angry pouts as threats. In a sense I became her loyal pet dog, who would never let a creature touch its owner. I was ready to tear apart any one into thin shreds for her sake.

Though I was only here for my own benefits, I grew protective over her because she was the only one who showered me with kindness. May be if I was with her for some more days I would regain my senses which was blinded by greed. It would less devastating and I could have her rescued.

After a year of my disguise in Alaka, at a night I saw Adara visiting the secret chamber with a worried face. He went inside and I heard some screams of pain and after few minutes Adara came back. A strange look in his red blood eyes, he aura felt possessed but I was not sure. I watched him from distance.

After the day Adara changed severely. His behaviour towards his subjects was cruel. Unless like the one I met years ago this Adara was ruthless in many ways. He was always considerate of weak and women but now he started utilising them for his pleasure.

On the other day he even yelled at Sanaita, his dear daughter. She cried the whole day but he did not show even a single sign of concern. After that she was ill for weeks, he didn't pay a single visit nor asked about her with any of his guards.

Suddenly a day she went missing, her maids and everyone was worried, I was worried as hell for her and even went to inform Adara but he shrugged my words saying he had some other important business to do.

Luckily, I found her near the small lake in backyard feeding fishes. She seemed calm but dull. She was not as jovial as before. I missed her smiling whole heartedly.

"Still I miss her", Wakuba sighed sadly.

"Then?"

I received the message from Crystal palace. The day has come. I left Sanaita in care of her maid, ordering her to not let Sanaita step out of the doors at any cost and locked the door form outside.

In an hour the whole city of Alaka and the palace was surrounded by demon warriors of Khalida headed by Kalhar. He advanced with his army into the secret chamber of the palace.

Guards, maids anyone being the obstacle of his was beheaded, slayed brutally. The golden walls of Alaka was painted red in no time with the blood of innocent people.

Body armour splashed with blood, anguish in his eyes, triumph in his smile, a sword bathed in blood he approached the secret chamber. I was accompanying him in the act.

As we entered Adara stood with his sharp edged sword ready wage war. I was ready to attack as I saw a scared child hiding behind his back. It was Sanaita. She was shivering in fear. Tear following down her rosy red fluffy cheeks, her fingers clipping hard on her fathers armoured hand.

She could not recognise me as my face was covered with a mask. I missed my target as I was distracted but Kalhar never missed his chance.

He stopped me saying, Adara was one of his allies. And Adara agreed.

The next word that left his mouth crushed my heart into pieces. He offered Sanaita as a symbol of his friendship to Kalhar.
