Fanzer's and Jumin's small adventure came to a close as the boring school days started up.
Monday and Tuesday went as usual, with daunting math and history tests filling the two's minds for Wednesday.
Wednesday came and Fanzer felt a little bit odd. Like he was being watched.
"Hey Jay, are you being followed?" Fanzer asked, causing his friend to give him a look of utter confusion.
"What? Are you okay?" Jumin responded in his own question, allowing Fanzer to take a few steps back.
"I feel like I'm being watched, y'know? Actually, you would know, right?" Fanzer realized exactly who he was talking to, but his hopes were quickly snuffed out by Jumin shaking his head.
"Uh actually I've never had a stalker before. I can't tell you what it's like." Jumin shrugged, adding more confusion to Fanzer.
"I know it may sound crazy, but what if they're stalking you? You're pretty damn cool. You just sell yourself short." Jumin told his friend, gaining a dry chuckle from him in response.
"Yeah right. You're crazy. That's never gonna happen." Fanzer scoffed, only gaining another shrug from Jumin.
"Sure thing, whatever helps you sleep at night." Jumin let out sigh, causing his friend to start thinking.
"I guess... That's not impossible. I just... Eh, it's not worth thinking about right now." Fanzer shrugged it off, still feeling a little bit unnerved by the feeling of a pair of eyes on him.
The tests came and went in a flash. Even though they were something to worry about, they wasn't much different from normal tests either.
"Hey, I'm gonna go grab something from my locker before I head back home, you wanna come with?" Fanzer offered to Jumin, who shook his head in response.
"Can't, I've got another gig today. Just got the message." Jumin sighed, causing Fanzer to give him a small nod.
"Be safe Jay," The two said their goodbyes and Fanzer went to his locker, opening it with much more difficulty than he'd like to admit.
As he opened his locker a ton of folded up notes with hearts fell out.
"Love notes? This is... weird." Fanzer couldn't help but feel a little bit touched due to the notes, but then he also realized he shouldn't get his hopes up too high.
"Cool, but weird," Fanzer stepped over the pile of notes and grabbed what he was looking for. He was going to just throw the notes away, but he decided to keep just one.
"Fanzer touched my note! His precious fingers touched where mine were!" Fanzer heard frantic whispering a ways away from him, but he couldn't make out any specific words.
"I have two options. I can act like nothing happened there, or I can confront the creepily whispering person. Honestly, I think my answer's clear," Fanzer thought, taking a bunch of the notes and trashing them, leaving some in his locker out of laziness.
Fanzer finally got home but felt like something was off.
"Did mom do some cleaning? It's really clean in here. And are those... cookies?" Fanzer couldn't stop a small smile from coming onto his face as he picked up one of the seemingly freshly made cookies and bit into it.
"Whoa, it's so good!" Fanzer quickly scarfed the sweet treat with an expression of happiness, but he couldn't help but feel a little bit odd.
He silently walked into his own room, remembering the poor state he left it in earlier, only to see a completely clean room.
It was truly beyond his understanding. His bed was folded, his trash was taken out, his dresser was wiped clean, his floor was vacuumed, and the list just seemed to go on and on.
"Wow. This is really cool. I should really thank Mom for this." Fanzer happily sat his bag down and started to get comfortable in his bed, only to find a bag of his favorite candy sneakily hidden underneath the covers.
"... Yeah, must've been Mom.... Must've," He shrugged off, a little bit of paranoia gripping his mind.
"I guess now would be a good time to read that note," Fanzer hummed to himself as he pulled the note from his pocket and opened it up.
As he read the note, his expression slowly drained as a chill slowly invaded his body.
"I'm being stalked by Kotone. Holy..." Fanzer felt a chill go up his spine as he looked around his overly clean room.
"I feel like it's really saying something about the security measures of our home if she broke in so easily. Either that or she's just extremely tenacious," Fanzer sighed, putting his hands behind his head and laying back into his bed.
"I should probably be more worried for my safety, or worried that I don't have any privacy anymore. Too bad it's far too much energy to be doing that," Fanzer sighed, picking up his computer and starting to do some writing.
He got lost in his several different ideas and he didn't even realize what time it was by the end of his writing session.
"Ah... It's already dark out? I should probably grab some dinner," Fanzer hopped out of bed, landing on his now numb legs and nearly falling to the ground as he did.
"That was not smart," He groaned, starting to walk slowly as his kitchen before he suddenly stopped as he saw what was on the countertop.
It was a singular box of pizza. He slowly approached it and opened it, his heart pounding in his ears as he did.
It was his favorite pizza type.
More specifically, it was the new flavor he realized he really liked when he went out with Jumin on Sunday. He had never tried it in his life and he really liked it, so he called it his favorite type of pizza.
He hadn't had time to tell his mother about it, and he never texted Jumin about it after dinner. The only other option was—
"She was stalking us even there? No, could she have hacked into my phone to hear audio from it? Either way, I suddenly much less... comfortable," A shiver crawled up Fanzer's back, but even that couldn't stop an awkward smile from emerging on his face.
"Well, at least I've got some pizza," Fanzer took a slice and bit into it, the beauty of life seeming to shine down onto him as flavor exploded inside his mouth, covering his tongue and cheeks in sweet marinara sauce.
But mid-bite he suddenly stopped.
"She got in my house without me realizing. Then she either left or is still in here...." Fanzer silently turned his head, anxiety creeping up on him before he just continued eating.
"Good to know she's extremely stealthy or I'm just stupidly oblivious. Hell if I know which one," Fanzer hummed, eating his pizza as he silently hoped Kotone wasn't in his home.
He ate a few slices in silence before getting up and starting to head back to his room. He'd never admit it, but he'd become very aware of his surroundings all of the sudden.
Every sound seemed louder than the last, but every time he looked at where they were coming from it always turned out to be nothing.
"I would normally make fun of myself about being so nervous but... I think if there was a good time to be paranoid it's right now," Fanzer sighed, realizing he'd probably gain nothing by worrying as much as he was.
"I guess I'll just go sit for a little bit," He was about to open his door when he heard a sound from inside his room.
It wasn't just the sound of a video he left on or his fan, it was the rustling of his very own covers and someone's voice saying something, but not loud enough where he could hear it. And he froze.
He had absolutely no idea how he should approach this situation.
"Okay, let me not be like a dense anime protagonist right now. Chances are, the girl in there likes me for some reason. However, that doesn't necessarily say how she'd react when I go in there. I'd hope her automatic response isn't to stab me but.... It is my own room, so I should treat it with some respect," Fanzer opened his door, looking inside, but by the time he got into his own room whoever was inside completely vanished.
The window was the clear escape route, seeing as it was opened when he didn't leave it like that earlier.
He let out a sigh of relief that he only just realized he was holding in and sat down on his bed, laying down after a moment of thinking.
As soon as he laid down, he was enveloped by an incredibly thick yet indescribable scent.
"Flowers? No, it's like a warm cup of Joe on a cold winter night. This is insane...!" Fanzer sat for a moment, taking in the scent for a moment before sitting up.
"It smells... good. How weird of a situation am I in?" Fanzer sighed, getting up and closing his window.
He laid back down on his bed in silence, trying to figure out and accept what just happened to him.
"I'm being stalked by a girl I've met... twice? No matter how you slice it that's pretty creepy and invasive. Should I call the cops? Or tell mom? Ugh, I need to think."
-----
"Wow, you really do have a stalker, huh?" Jumin tried to hold back his laughter as his friend walked with him.
The day went by in a flash due to Fanzer anxiously overthinking his current situation.
"Shut up man, I'm serious," Fanzer lightly shoved Jumin, which made him let out a small laugh before taking Fanzer seriously.
"Okay okay, what do you want me to say?" Jumin questioned, gaining Fanzer give him a confused look.
"I've never handled a situation like this. A stalker is one thing, but a stalker who cleaned your house and brought you dinner? That does feel like a slightly different situation," The model explained, causing Fanzer to give him a small nod.
"Why are you so reluctant to just call the cops and call it a day?" Jumin asked, and Fanzer just gave him a small nervous laugh.
"Well..."
"No way, I've heard that tone from you before. You're lying," Jumin denied, not even letting his friend finish.
"No way bro, I don't like her, she just... smells nice," Fanzer finished quietly as his best friend gave him a look.
"How do you even know it's a girl? What if they're a dude?" Jumin speculated, sending a chill up Fanzer's spine.
"No way, all the clues are saying the same thing, that it's Kotone. If it's not... uh, maybe I'm an idiot," Fanzer chuckled nervously.
"I've got your back, but you also know I'm gonna tell you when you're sounding real sus, alright?" Jay made sure his friend knew what was happening, and Fanzer gladly understood clearly.
"What I recommend you do is just... ignore it for the time being. She didn't steal anything, did she? Yeah what she did was on the weirder side of the spectrum, but you're not in danger either so I'd just leave it alone. She did do... something in your bed so I can't say if she's gonna like kidnap you or something but... we can guess all day and nothing's gonna change. Just chill, and we'll see how it goes from there," Jumin recommended, gaining a nod of understanding from his best friend.
"Alright. For now I'll just wait," Fanzer repeated, causing Jumin to give him a low hum.
"Oh Fanzer... How I wish you'd talk to me... Don't worry... me and you will talk with one another soon enough... Hehehe..."
