"So that happened," Fanzer told his best friend, who sat in silence for a moment before responding.
"I... Wow."
"That was my reaction too!" Fanzer was glad that Jumin shared the same sentiments towards what just happened.
"Well, you should get going because you didn't set a time!" Jay clapped his hands together, snapping Fanzer out of his trance. "Hurry up, hurry up!"
"Okay okay, jeez. I just wanted to keep you in the know, just in case I mysteriously go missing... or... am found as a husk of a man in my own home," Fanzer informed before getting up and heading out.
"See you later!" He told his friend, who nodded happily as his friend left.
"..." Jumin's smile faded as his friend closed the door.
-----
"Ah, that must be her," Fanzer noticed Kotone's long black hair on her very noticeable figure, and he walked up to her, giving her a small wave as he did.
"Hey Koto—" He was interrupted by an overwhelmingly powerful glomp from his senior.
"Fanzer, I missed you so much! It's been too long!" Kotone nuzzled into Fanzer's chest, smelling him as she did.
"Well... Hello to you too," The second year greeted, waiting for a moment to see if Kotone would get up. It only took him a moment to realize she'd be satisfied with keeping him in a hug forever.
"You don't plan on getting up, do you?" Fanzer asked, and Kotone responded by lightly shaking her head.
"Would you get up for me? This isn't particularly comfortable," Fanzer requested, and he didn't expect Kotone to jump up so fast.
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay, do you need anything?" Kotone asked, pulling Fanzer to his feet quickly and barraging him with questions.
"Uh, no, I'm fine," Fanzer hesitated before responding, noticing Kotone's shift in behavior.
"Here, let's sit," Fanzer gestured to a bench, causing Kotone to nod quickly and sit down.
Kotone silently looked at Fanzer, a small yet happy smile on her face.
"How can she be this cute when just earlier she was so ready to shove her tongue down my throat?" Fanzer asked himself as he sat down next to Kotone.
"I..." Fanzer tried to figure out what to say but gladly Kotone was more than willing to speak up first.
"I love you! The way you talk, the way you walk, the way you smile makes my day worthwhile!" Kotone gasped, her face extremely red as she looked at Fanzer.
"... I'm pretty impressed by those rhymes," Fanzer admitted, a small smile coming to his face.
"Honestly, I asked you to come here to see if you wanted to be my friend but..." Fanzer met her intense gaze, seeing something much more intense than just simple friendship. "I can tell you want more than that..."
"I love you a lot, but I can also wait if you want me to! I can be patient for your love! Whatever you need from me I'll give you without any doubts!" Kotone held Fanzer's hands within her own, speaking to him from the bottom of her heart.
"I think that's the thing. You're incredibly loyal, but I don't want to make you wait so..." Fanzer stood up and clenched his hand with determination, meeting Kotone's gaze with his own.
"I'm not gonna lie, I'm no romance pro. I've always been the person who gives advice, but the advice I give isn't anything I can follow. I'll try my hardest to not fail you Kotone!"
"Does this mean..." Kotone's eyes sparkled with glee.
"Yes, I would love to be your boyfriend," Fanzer gave her a small awkward smile before she crushed him with a hug.
"This is certainly gonna take some getting used to...."
-----
"A few weeks ago, I was so foolish... if only it was that easy," Fanzer sighed as his eyes drooped as he walked with Jumin.
"What are you talking about?" Jumin laughed.
"I never once in my life thought that every single day I'd be making out with someone. That's not even mentioning how insistent she is on doing other... things," Fanzer began explaining to his friend, who listened intensively.
"I haven't written, watched anime, or hung out with you in at least three weeks, and I feel like I'm losing who I am. I just... Am I supposed to be somewhat relieved that we couldn't hang out today?" Fanzer asked, only gaining a shrug from his friend.
"I don't think so. That sounds a tad bit unhealthy to me," Jumin put in his word, causing his friend to nod in agreement.
"I feel like I'm failing right now, y'know? As a friend and as a boyfriend. I haven't taken her out anywhere, and I also haven't even hung out with you in literal weeks. That's not even speaking about the people who enjoy what I write. They haven't gotten any updates in a pretty long time. It's just been radio silence, and that sucks."
"But anytime I see her my mind goes blank. Everything I plan on bringing up just suddenly leaves me when I see how happy she is with how things are. Ugh!" Fanzer groaned but stopped when his friend put a hand on his shoulder.
"Be honest man. You like her, and it's pretty damn clear she likes you. Tell her you want to take her on a date, or that you need to distance yourself a little bit. I've never been in a relationship before but I'm pretty sure they're flexible things. They aren't just... 'this' or 'that.' If it's gonna work, you have to shift it so it can fit both of you. You're smart man, you can figure this out," Jumin told his friend, slowly bringing a smile to Fanzer's face.
"You've... never been in a relationship before?" Fanzer asked, causing the model to give him a weak smile.
"When girls want you because you're a model it's hard to be blind after the first few tries. That's why I hang out with my only true friend anymore. That's also why I also want yours to work, because I can tell she's not trying to use you for anything," Jumin explained.
"I got it. I'll try that out, thank you Jumin!" Fanzer ran off, more determination flashing within his soul due to the advice he was given.
"That's also why I'm scared of you both working out..." Jumin spoke to himself, feeling very lonely all the sudden.
-----
"Hey Kotone, this is really sudden, but do you mind coming over to the park? I get if you can't but it'd mean a lot if you could," Fanzer texted his upperclassman, and he received a text message saying that she could only a few instances later.
"She texts really fast," Fanzer hummed before starting to head to the park.
Just like always, he got there and made eye-contact with Kotone and suddenly his brain turned to mush.
"Just take it step by step Fanzer," He forced himself to stay calm, remembering the advice Jumin gave him.
"Kotone..." Fanzer approached her with somewhat shaky legs but straightened himself out.
"Would you go out on a date with me?" He asked her, causing Kotone to become confused.
"A date?"
"Yeah, we just haven't gone on one yet so I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on one with me," Fanzer explained, his heart throbbing in his ears out of nervousness.
After a moment of silence Kotone's face morphed into one of happiness.
"Fanzer's asking me on a date! Fanzer's asking me on a date!" She spoke to herself happily before nodding happily to Fanzer.
"My darling Fanzer, of course I'll say yes! A time for just me and you to be with one another, it's a dream!" Kotone creepily giggled to herself, bringing a smile to Fanzer's face.
"That was easier than I thought it would be..."
