THE AGENDA

It was sunrise when King Edward summoned Annabelle to his side. "Belle, you know why you're here," he said, his voice filled with urgency. "The prince knows where the fiery ember ruby is hidden. Make him tell you by any means necessary, and make him fall in love with you. Time is of the essence."

"Yes, father," Annabelle replied, her heart pounding with apprehension. "And I understand, I won't use it, no matter what."

With that, King Edward left. As it was time for breakfast, Princess Annabelle hurriedly dressed to meet the royal Avalorian family. Just as she was about to open her chamber door, Prince Philip arrived. However, their entrance was interrupted by Liam, the knight in charge of guarding the princess.

"What do you think you're doing?" Philip demanded, annoyance evident in his tone.

Liam remained silent, pushing him back when he tried to enter. "The princess is dressing. I think you should wait," Liam explained calmly.

Philip's brows furrowed in frustration. "Who do you think you are, telling me what to do in my own castle?"

Just then, Annabelle opened the door, sensing the tension in the air. "Is everything alright, my prince?" she asked, her concerned eyes locked onto Philip's.

"It's nothing," Liam replied quickly. "I shall escort you, Princess Annabelle."

As they made their way towards the dinner hall, Annabelle noticed Liam following them. Philip turned and sternly said, "Stay back! He can't come; he has to follow me for my protection. You understand, don't you ?" her eyes searched his, seeking his agreement.
