THE KING,S FAREWELL

The morning after King George had retreated with Prince Philip to his chamber, george spoke up, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "son, I plan to go to the Enchanted Wood today, in search of any traces of Astra Revenwood.

George paused for a moment, concern etched on his face. "Son," he began, choosing his words carefully, "there are forces at play, hidden agendas that threaten the peace of Avaloria. King Edward may not have our best interests at heart, and Annabelle may be a pawn in his scheme. I implore you to be cautious and protect Avaloria."

Philip nodded, absorbing his father's words. "I understand, Father. I will remain vigilant and ensure the safety of our kingdom."

Just before George could depart, the two shared a touching embrace, their bond reaffirmed. George whispered softly, his voice filled with love and pride, "Remember, my son, you are the king. Do not let anyone snatch that from you. Protect Avaloria with all your might."

With a resolute nod, Philip bid his father farewell. As George stepped away,he couldn't help but feel a surge of determination building within him. He would undertake his quest to the Enchanted Wood with steadfast resolve, knowing that the fate of Avaloria rested on his shoulders.

Meanwhile, in another part of the castle, King Edward summoned Annabelle to his chamber. "It's time," he whispered, a sinister tone lacing his voice. "You must make Philip vulnerable, so we can strike and bring an end to all of this."

Annabelle hesitated for a moment, anticipation mingled with doubt in her eyes. "But, do we have the means to-"

Before she could finish her sentence, King Edward cut her off, his voice rising in anger. "Yes!" he snapped. "King George thinks he can disrespect me without consequences. I'll be waiting for your signal. And remember, Liam will be returning in two days. Protect yourself until then."

As Edward stroked his horse, he left the chamber, leaving Annabelle to dwell on the weight of her role in this treacherous path she had chosen.
