"Let's go to Nationals"

"Better step it up boys… score is 3 to 0" Jaden grits his teeth and smirks. 'I can finally revive the team as you'd always wanted… Brother!' Kurai tosses the ball and jump serves it over the net. Carlos jumping forward and receiving the ball but getting sent back. Jaden appears under the ball and underhand sets it into the air as Owen appears. Kurai smirks as the ball goes flying and hits the court with an echo. Kurai capping as Jaden takes deep breaths 'it's been a while since i've felt like this… thank you, Kurai… for returning me to my purpose!' Jaden turns and glares at Kurai. Kurai smirking. 'State of flow, eh? He doesn't seem to have lost his touch' Kurai grins as an aura pours from his eyes. Kurai enters a state of flow as well.

Carlo thinks to himself. 'All this yip yap about being a prodigy and a state of flow?... I don't care about stuff like that' Kurai lands another jump serve over the net. Carlo taking a deep breath and falling forward, pancaking the ball and sending it into the air. 'I could care less!' Kurai smirks as an aura pours from Carlos's eyes, Carlos was in a state of flow. Jaden runs over and sets the ball backwards to Liam who's already jumping, aura also radiates from his eyes as well. Spiking the ball as it lands behind him. Kurai lands with aura pouring from his eyes having blocked the ball. The score was now 4 to 1 in favor of Kurai who was at match point.

"Good serve" Kurai tosses the ball. His shoes squeak as he jumps into the air, slamming the ball over the net. Carlos dives to the right and receives the serve. Kurai smirks as Jaden quickly sets the ball to Owen. 'A quick attack!' The ball hits the court as Kurai snickers and glares at them.

"I'll give you some credit, like you three… sorry about your luck, but the ball went out of bounds" Jaden grits his teeth. Kurai standing behind the net.

"You may have lost this short game, but now do you see what I see?" Jaden smirks and exhales.

"This team can go to Nationals!" Kurai then violently points out the obvious.

"But, you guys are out of shape. Get to practice! As of right now, just passing the ball back and forth will do to loosen your bearings, get to it!" Kurai clps his hands as everyone rushes around in shock at the sudden announcement. Kurai glances over.

"Jaden" Jaden walks over. Swiping his hand through his messy hair.

"Yeah? What's up?" Kurai looks down at him.

"What do you want out of this team? Why are you here?" Jaden was shocked by the sudden question.

"Like you said… to bring this team to Nationals-" Kurai interrupts him.

"No… what do YOU want out of this team?" Jaden looks away, then looking down at the old wooden floor of the gym.

"Everyone here came from a no-name high school…" Kurai raises an eyebrow.

"That should only push you to be a better player in college, to get your name out there… so what happened?" Jaden walks with Kurai to the bleachers and sits down.

"When we arrived at what we thought would be a school with a good reputation, we found the schools volleyball team had died… and the team was no longer active… we still joined but we've all lost the motivation to keep playing since…" Kurai exhales.

"That does sound like a very specific situation… but you wanna know something?" Jaden looks up. Kurai's eyes glowing an ominous blue aura.

"The best feeling and reaction from the crowd comes after the underdog team beats the long running champion" Jaden smirks.

"I never thought about that" Kurai smirks and holds his hand out. Jaden shaking it.

"Let's go to nationals… Jaden" Jaden smirks as an aura pours from his eyes as well.

"I expect you to bring us there, Emperor of the Court, Kurai Vlast!"
