I feel off

Kurai walks to the back of the court and tosses the ball high. Stepping forward a bit before jumping and warping the ball, sending it like a thunderbolt across the net. Zane falls forward and gets under it. The ball warped on his arms, but managed to bring it up.

"HA!!" Kurai grits his teeth. Landing and watching Alex. Alex steps forward calmly and underhand, setting the ball backwards to Miya. Carlos slowly hopped and split step to the left. Owen jumped up to block. The ball hitting the court in the next moment. Kurai was shocked. OPU 3-6 WCC. Owen sighs.

"Sorry, I wasn't fast enough" Jaden waves his hand.

"Don't mind, everyone's a little off today"

"An incredible rally!"

"It's only gonna get more crazy as Miya Thompsan steps up to serve!"

Miya steps up to serve, tossing the ball and serving it over the net. Liam jumps forward and seal diving to bring the ball up.

"Kur-" Kurai shouts.

"I'm on it, jeez!" Liam pauses a bit as Kurai sets the ball high. Jaden jumps in front of the net. 'Our timing was too slow!' Jaden misses the spike and lands shortly before the ball. OPU 3-7 WCC.

Miya steps up to serve and tosses the ball, taking 2 small steps forward and lightly tapping the ball. Carlos steps back 'a float serve' he lifts his hands and reaches for the ball, but it rolls off his fingers and hits the court. OPU 3-8 WCC: technical timeout.

"There it is, West Charter College is the first team to reach 8 points an bring us into the games first technical timeout."

"Let's hope Kurai can get his bearings back together during this timeout."

Kurai sits on the bench, glaring at the floor. Haruki watching off to the side. 'What do I say? I've never had to deal with something like this…' Kurai exhales as Jaden rests his hand on Kurai's shoulder.

"What's wrong with you?" Haruki is shocked as Kurai looks up at Jaden, Jaden continues.

"What happened to the Kurai from the last two games, huh!? I need to know, Kurai" Kurai exhales.

"My sets feel off-" Jaden furrows his brows.

"Okay, WHY do your sets feel off?" Carlos and Haruki look over confused.

"I-I'm not sure, they're just not going where I want them to" Jaden scoffs.

"That might be your problem, the ball isn't doing what YOU want! Maybe, for once in your life, try something new for once, because your overhand sets aren't working doesn't mean we should forfeit this match!" Jaden takes several quick breaths before Kurai rises to his feet. Carlos prepares to step in if something happens. Silence echoes for a few moments.

"Hah… you're more of a team captain than me… Jaden" Jaden steps back kinda shocked.

"I…" Kurai tosses the towel onto the bench as his eyes glow and he smirks. "like that idea, i'll adapt and overcome" a whistle blows signaling the end of the technical timeout.

"The technical timeout is now up! Let's see what Kurai has in store as Riley once again steps up to serve"

Riley steps up to serve. The crowd stomping and cheering. Riley exhales and tosses the ball and bolts forward. Slamming it over the net. Carlos dives forward and sending it high into the air.

"Kurai!" Kurai runs forward.

"On it!" Kurai leans down and underhand sets to Jaden who flies behind him. Jaden slamming the ball past the sudden block. Zane reaching down and keeping it from hitting the ground. Jaden and Zane locks eyes with a smirk. Alex runs forward as Kurai takes a few steps back and running to the net. Jumping to block the ball as it floats in the middle of the court.

"TAKE THIS! OPU!" Jason jumps out fromthe back row and swinging his hand back. Owen appears beside Kurai for a double block. But the ball hits the court. OPU 3-9 WCC.

"Another insane rally just as the game restarts!"

"That was a long back and forth rally there!"

"Riley is back up to serve"

Riley tosses the ball as a whistle blows. Jumping forward and into the air. Swinging his palm into the ball, deforming it. Carlos jumps forward, holding his breath as the ball bends on his arms. A sudden release as the ball goes flying into the air.

"IT'S HIGH!" Kurai runs forward as Riley and Jason prepare o block. The ball suddenly hitting the court behind them. A whistle blows as they turn around. Kurai and Jaden having pulled off a quick attack right after Alex's own back row quick. OPU 4-9 WCC.

"The blockers didn't even get a chance! Dispite Kurai now underhand setting, he's still a speed monster on that court!" 

"And WCC better prepare as Jaden Ramirez, OPU's second best server steps up!"
