Spriggan's Decision

(Third Person POV)

Vistarion, Arikitashia

Inside a room in the palace, the Emperor of The Alvarez Empire, Spriggan, sat on a table as he read a book. On the table, a cup of steaming tea sat there as he focused on his book. He had a relaxed and serene look on his face as he flipped the pages of the book.

The door opened and Invel, the Winter General, walked in with his hands behind his back.

"Your Majesty." Invel greeted him

Spriggan merely continued reading the book, "Yes?" He said without looking up

"About the conflict at our borders." Invel said, "Dimaria requested a bit more time to deal with it. She says we could use the resources and the manpower the rebelling forces offer."

Spriggan nodded, "Sure." He said, "I do remember telling her to do that."

Invel nodded, "Understood." He said, "I'll let her know then."

"Our invasion of Ishgar will be postponed, Invel." Spriggan said, "With Dimaria's conflict and the weapons the Magic Council have to keep us at bay, I believe it's a good idea to wait."

Invel nodded again, "Yes." He said, "If that's your wish."

As he said this, a lacrima orb that sat next to the cup of tea started to glow as a static noise was heard.

Spriggan looked at it, "Well, look at who decided to call." He said as he clicked on it, "I hope you have good news for me, Irene."

"Your Majesty, it's good to hear your voice, finally." Irene's voice was heard, "I am returning to Arikitashia as we speak."

"How was your little vacation in Ishgar?" Spriggan asked

"Better than I imagined." Irene said

"And your task?" Spriggan asked

"Jason proved to be more stubborn than we thought." Irene said, "It'll take a bit more 'convincing' to sway him on our side."

Spriggan smiled slightly, "I assume your charms didn't get to him, eh?" He said, "That man has more willpower than we imagined."

Invel frowned, "And here I thought Irene would actually do it." He said, "The female shields guaranteed it."

"Oh, don't fret, dear Invel." Irene said, "I'm not done with him. Your Majesty, I suggest that we hold off on the invasion."

"That much has been agreed on, Irene." Spriggan said

"Good." Irene said, "I know that I failed in bringing Jason to Arikitashia, but just have patience, when the time comes, he'll have no choice but to walk to our doorstep."

Spriggan looked at the lacrima, "You have something in mind?" He asked, "What are you scheming?"

"The scheme is already in motion, Your Majesty. All we have to do is wait." She said, "I'm requesting an exemption from meetings. I'll fulfill my commander duties my way."

Spriggan nodded, "Fine." He said standing up, "Do as you wish. I'm going on a journey. When I'm back, I expect Dimaria's conflict to be done and Irene.....I expect Jason to be here."

"Worry not." Irene said, "If you take as long as you usually do, he'll be here."

Invel looked at him, "Are you sure, Your Majesty?" He asked

Spriggan smiled slightly, "Yes." He said, "You and August will take care of things?"

Invel nodded, "Of course."

"Then there's nothing to worry about." He said,

"I shall be back."

Fiore, Ishgar

Jason sat on a log, overseeing a grassy hill. He was looking downhill, watching a group of wild horses running across the massive field.

It was about a week since his time with Mavis, he was training in the mountains, attempting to hone his 3 new God Slayer Magic that he had unlocked recently: Frost God Slayer, Machine God Slayer, and Sage God Slayer.

After the week passed, he decided to take a stroll through the grassy plains of the outer country. He found the place to be relaxing, remembering his childhood, before the tragedy.

He watched the horses, they looked so similar to the ones from his world, he was intrigued.

The one that caught his eye was a beautiful black steed that ran in the front of the herd, it's beautiful mane flowing in the wind, freely.

It reminded him of a certain horse he had rode in The King's Ranch back when he was a small boy, before the start of his nightmare.

During that time, he was just an innocent boy, enjoying the speed of the black steed as he was held by his mother as she rode it around the massive field. Now, he was a grown man, in a different world, not knowing what he should do.

Jason sighed as he looked up at the sky, the sun shining right on his face.

"Man...." He said aloud

Suddenly, the Blue Screen appeared next to him.

"ATTENTION: 120 POINTS AVAILABLE FOR SPENDING."

Jason looked at the screen, "Hm.."

"YOU HAVEN'T UNLOCKED THE FINAL TWO GOD SLAYER SPELLS TO COMPLETE THE BLACK GOD SLAYER TREE."

"I know." Jason said, "I've been working on the three recent God Slayer magic I unlocked."

"UNLOCK THE FINAL TWO SPELLS."

"Okay." He said

The screen switched to the page, showing the final spells that Jason needed to unlock. Jason looked at the page without saying a word. It was God Force: Touch of Grace and Bright Eclipse, the final two spells of The Black God Slayer Tree. Two powerful spells that will give Jason an incredible advantage over any opponent.

"Here it goes." Jason said as he clicked on both of them to unlock

Doing this, he spent 50 points.

Suddenly, he was engulfed in a massive aura as it briefly shot outwards and instantly disappeared.

"Hm..." He said without much of a reaction

"CONGRATULATIONS: BLACK GOD SLAYER TREE FULLY UNLOCKED."

Jason nodded, "Yup." He said, "It was."

"YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED WAR MAGIC."
