(Jason's POV)

"Man, you sure know how to annoy a guy." I said to Jellal as I walked up to him

Jellal turned to look at me, "You forget your duties, Jason." He said seriously

He was wearing his usual outfit, with his cloak on top of it. We were at one of the hills that oversaw Magnolia. He had called me in order meet up prior to the meeting we were going to have with the Magic Council.

"Duties?" I said, "Don't make me laugh."

Igora was behind me as I approached him, "So this is Jellal, the man you told me about." She said

I nodded, "Yea this is him."

He was alone, standing under a tree as he crossed his arms.

"And who's this?" Jellal asked, "Her magic power.....she doesn't seem human..."

Igora chuckled, "Quite the perceptive one." Igora said, "I'll let you figure it out later."

I looked at Jellal, "What do you want?"

He looked at me, up and down, "You seem to be in good shape.." He said, "Considering you had a fight with Natsu Dragneel. You looked a bit beaten up."

I shrugged, "I had some time to heal." I said, "And I beat him, something you can't really relate to. How'd it feel? Getting your ass beaten by that guy."

He frowned, "I didn't come here to hear you gloat, Jason." He said, "You know why I'm here."

Igora stepped forward, "Silver." She said, "Jason said you'll help in locating him."

Jellal nodded, "Yes, that's true." He said, "Over the past two months, I've been tracking him down. But that's not all I've been doing."

I nodded, "Yea, Ultear mentioned something like that." I said, "You've been checking what Hades has been up to, right?"

Jellal nodded, "Yes." He said, "He's been awfully quiet. And I found it odd how he insisted on attacking you on multiple occasions."

"Yea, that was pretty annoying." I said, "So, did you figure out why he was doing that?"

"Not exactly." Jellal said, "But I know what he'll do next."

"And What's that?" I asked

"He's going to meet with Silver." He replied, "The two of them are gonna meet soon. This is our chance, Jason, we have to do something."

I nodded, "That we do." I said, "And how do you suppose we do this?"

Jellal uncrossed his arms and turned to face the city, "First, we see what the Council wants." He said, "I reckon they're going to mention how Alvarez has been adding a bit of pressure as of late...."

I rolled my eyes, "Those bastards don't learn, huh?" I said, "Oh well, what're you going to do about it."

He looked at me, "That's a serious issue, Jason." He said, "There's word that two of Spriggan's Shields have directly contacted the Council."

I shrugged, "That's not my problem." I said

"It should be." He said, "Especially since you were their main topic. They've officially marked you as a person of interest. They'll stop at nothing in recruiting you to their cause. The Council has made it known that they'll do anything to prevent that."

I frowned, "Last time they attempted, it was nothing short of annoying." I said, "But whatever, forget that, let's worry about Silver and Hades. What's the move?"

Jellal sighed, "Yea, I guess you'll focus on that the most." He said, "I suppose we wait until Silver pulls out the Calamitous Edge."

Igora looked at Jellal, "And let him wield it?" She asked, "Do you know what kind of damage that weapon did to my Island and my people?"

Jellal nodded, "I understand what the risk is, but we have to take it." He said, "Once he summons it, we need to take if off his hands."

"It'll be a bit risky, but I can manage that." I said, "Silver is a crafty one."

"Once we do that." Jellal continued, "We do what must be done. We deal with both of them at the same time. Hades is planning something and I don't like what it looks like. There's word he's been in contact with one of the Zeref Cults that has been growing."

I raised an eyebrow, "Cult?"

"Avatar." Jellal explained, "Sorano has infiltrated it and is currently relaying information to us. Hades has made contact with them. Avatar has been planning a mass-sacrificial ritual but other than that, we don't know much."

I looked at him, "If that's the case, let's stop Avatar first." I said

"Yea, that sounds horrible." Igora said

"Hades is more than likely going to meet up with both Avatar and Silver." Jellal said, "The details of why are unclear, but that's all I know."

"I see." I said, "Three birds with one stone, huh?"

Jellal nodded, "Yea."

"Okay..." I said, "Well that settles it. After the meeting, we go and handle that. We handle Silver, Hades, and Avatar I guess."

Igora looked at me, "Finally." She said, "The time has come to inflict justice upon that man."

"Jason." Jellal said, "Another thing...."

I looked at him, "Hm?"

"I know you know about Silver." Jellal said seriously, "About his past and his relationship with Gray."

I nodded, "Yea." I said, "What about it?"

"You do know what must be done, right?" He said

I sighed, "yea.." I said, "I'll do what I must."

"But you also know that Gray at some point is going to know." Jellal continued

I looked over at the city, seeing the buildings as the sun was setting. Jellal was right; Gray at some point will learn the truth about his Father. And what makes this even more messed up is that Silver doesn't know that his son survived Deliora's attack and is alive. All this that Silver is doing....it's for Gray and Gray's mother.

This lust for revenge, it's driven him to do all these terrible things. The memory, the pain, of his entire world being taken away from him by a Demon of Zeref. Whatever it is he wishes to do, more people will be hurt. He'll become the thing he swore revenge against. He's a man that's distorted by his pain.

I looked at Jellal, "He's too far gone, Jellal." I said, "I'm doing both Silver and Gray a favor by not telling them."

"I'm gonna put him out of his misery."
