Hellish Bombardment

(Third Person POV)

"Guys!" Erza called out, "There's going to be more enemies incoming!!" 

She and Kagura had regrouped with the others as Jellal had lured almost the entire army out into the field. It looked like there was a massive black carpet laid out in front of Hargeon. 

"Just what we need..." Jellal said as he blasted several with his magic, "I've lured the majority out....." 

Erza was swinging her swords, cutting several down, "What's the move?" She asked Jellal

"Jason said he'll bombard this whole army..." Jellal said

"Then make the call." Erza said, "Before the rest get here...Where's Laxus?!" 

They were fighting off swarms of soldiers, dodging magic projectiles as they returned fire. Off into the distance, both Ultear and Meredy were seen fighting off soldiers as well with MIliana, Kagura, and the rest of her group. 

"Gray took him to safety." Jellal said, "He managed to defeat a Shield. What happened to the one you fought?" 

"He retreated." Erza said as she cut several soldiers down

"Is that so?" Jellal said as he blasted magic at them, "That is odd.....Man, how many are there?!"

Off into the distance, there was a massive army that was slowly marching their way towards them. This was the 20,000-strong that had decided to make their way there. There were so many of them that it looked like an impossible task to stay there and survive. 

The group had been fighting non-stop for more than an hour, taking down hundreds upon of hundreds of soldiers that were already there in Hargeon. Now, there were thousdands that were incoming

"They're here!" Kagura yelled, "Erza!!!" 

Erza widened her eyes, "Damn!" She said, "At this rate, we won't be able to hold out much longer!" 

"A Shield was defeated and another was pushed back." Jellal said, "I take this as a victory....but....we have to do something about these!!" 

They then heard a static coming from Jellal's badge. 

"Jellal." Jason's voice was heard, "I can see the incoming army on the radar." 

Jellal dodged a barrage of projectiles, "Y-Yea!" He said, "I got all the army on the field, Jason! What now?" 

"Get everyone near you. I got your location locked on." He said, "I'll relocate you all to another location, a couple miles from there." 

"What about Hargeon?!" Erza asked, "We were tasked with taking the town!" 

"The destruction of the Fleet is crucial." Jason said, "I am locked on the ships, I'll blow them up as well. Get everyone on you, Jellal, you have 60 seconds." 

"Wait, Jason." Jellal said, "What about Gray and Laxus. Laxus fell unconscious due to his wounds from fighting the Shield. We can't leave them here!" 

"Don't worry." Jason said, "I'll relocate them too. Gray has a communication badge too. They'll just have to wait a minute or two, this spell is not something I can spam." 

"Okay.." Jellal said, "I'll do it." 

Erza turned around, "Everyone!!" She shouted, "To us!! Now!!!" 

Without hesitation, everyone made their way to them, pushing through the waves of soldiers. Within seconds, they were all grouped up against Jellal as they fought off the soldiers. 

Off into the distance, the army was nearing, getting closer by the second. 

"We're together now, Jason!" Jellal said, "Do it!" 

"Okay." Jason said, "Just know that you'll be relocated several miles away. You're going to have limited time to take a breather. I'll send some airships your way to pick you up. I'll bombard the army till there's nothing left." 

"Jason!" Erza said, "Don't tell me....you intend to destroy the town as well?!"

"It's a necessary sacrifice." Jason said seriously, "With the incoming army and the fleet of ships, I cannot risk them getting out there in one piece." 

Kagura widened her eyes, "But it's a whole town, Jason!" She exclaimed

"Towns can be rebuilt." Jason said, "Be grateful there's no innocent civilian that'll be caught in the crossfire." 

Suddenly, they were all surrounded by a dark grey aura. 

Ultear widened her eyes, "This magic power...." She said

Jellal winced as the immense magic power felt heavy, "What the..." 

They were then warped away, something that shocked the enemy soldiers. One second, they were there, the next they were not. 

As soon as this happened, they all looked up to see several massive projectiles that slowly flew towards them. 

"What the hell is that?!" one of the soldiers yelled

Slowly but surely, several Hellfire Missiles were making their way towards Hargeon to bombard all of the army. 

The missiles flew over the town and made their way towards the port, bursting open and firing several projectiles at the fleet of ships. The projectiles struck the ships and they exploded violently, hundreds of ships were instantly obliterated by a round of Hellfire missiles that were fired by The Nemesis. 

Several miles away, the group suddenly appeared on top of a hill, stumbling down. 

"W-Whoa..." Jellal said 

Erza and Kagura were holding each other as the sudden teleportation gave them a bit of vertigo. They had heard the loud explosions shortly after being relocated, despite being miles away from the town. 

"Gray..." Erza muttered

Gray and Laxus appeared next to them right as she said that. 

"Whoa!" Gray exclaimed, "Man....that shit was a bit weird...." 

Laxus was lying on the ground, unconscious. 

"Laxus!" Erza exclaimed, "His wounds....." 

"Yea, they're a bit bad..." Gray said, "I was trying to bandage them up when Jason called me..." 

As they said that, they heard more loud explosions. 

Back to Hargeon, the majority of the army that was on the field were scattering, running around due to the massive explosions that destroyed the fleet that was docked. They had all seen more missiles slowly flying their way towards them. 

All of them tried to escape but the Hellfire missiles struck them, causing massive explosions that dwarfed the town's buildings and engulfed everything and everyone in flames. 

Even the army that was coming to aid had halted and was struck by some hellfire projectiles, causing damage to the front of their march. They had decided to turn around and attempt to retreat. The field outside Hargeon and a majority of Hargeon itself had already been covered in several explosions that shattered the earth itself. 

The hellish bombardment was enough to clean up the remaining thousands of soldiers that occupied Hargeon, it could've also attempted to harm or kill any Shield that was there. 

Jellal stood at the front of the hill they were on, miles away, and looked over to see smoke and flames in the distance. 

He narrowed his eyes, "This...." He said, "This was his plan all along....." 

"To lay ruin to that town..."
