Barrett nearly spat out his tea as Yevan casually dropped that unexpected question about Maria's relationship status. He hadn't seen it coming at all. The three of them, Yevan, Barrett, and Maria, sat in the cozy living room of Maria's home, sipping on fragrant cups of tea. The conversation had been pleasant, calm, and light-hearted until that moment.

Maria, who had been gracefully sipping her tea, nearly slipped as well, her eyes widening in surprise. She managed to set her cup down gently on the ornate coffee table before coughing lightly into her hand, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink.

Yevan, on the other hand, looked as composed as ever, seemingly unaware of the commotion he had caused. His gaze remained fixed on between Maria and Jacob, awaiting her response to his  quite daring question.
