Finn's P.O.V
Sitting on the couch with Dominic, the loud music filled my eyes. We were watching one of Rosabella's concerts that was airing on the TV. And even through this picture box, I can see how much she loves what she does.
"Where is Rosie?" Dominic asked his eyes, never leaving the television.
"I am not sure, I haven't seen her since last night."
He nods. I am sensing some disapproval. I know he was probably concerned about the werewolves too, and I haven't even told him about my encounter with them. I know he would blow a casket, especially my response to them.
"You're not nervous with Arjun?
"They kind of ambushed me with conversation in the cemetery yesterday."
"What was said?" This time I feel his eyes directly in my face.
"I told him that if Rosabella was his mate, I couldn't stop her talking to him. More or less, I told him good luck trying."
"So you gave him your blessing." I see Dominic's eyes turn black. He has a temper that's for sure far worse than mine.
"I don't think she'll give him the time of day, but if she did, I can't stop her from talking to him because we don't own her, Dominic."
"I do, as her clan leader."
I feel my temper growing inside of me, and I have to push down some of these feelings.
"All Rosabella needs to see is the type of person Arjun is, and then she'll run the other direction. The clan will be that other direction.
Hours later, I find myself walking towards Rosie's hotel room. I hope I made the right choice last night. I could have just said stay the hell away from her, or you'll have me to deal with. But honestly, I have no control over who she talks to, who she wants to be with, or what she wants. She's going to have to find out on her own the type of men the werewolves are.
I see her outside sitting on the bench. She looks in good spirits today, which is always nice to see.
'Hello," she smiles when she sees me.
"Why are you in such a good mood today?"
"I guess I'm already up and ready, and had breakfast."
"Ambitious."
I love the laughs that escape her lip, but I can tell something is bothering her. She's not making 100% eye contact with me.
"Would you be mad if I said I had breakfast with Arjun?"
I laugh. "It's not my choice of company."
"He said you told him that you wouldn't care if we went out."
"That's not exactly what I said."
"Then what did you say?" Her eyes watch me, I think she was trying to find anger in my eyes, but I don't get angry, I'm not mad.
"I said I couldn't stop you from wanting to spend time with him, I can't control what you do. I did throw in there for him to have good luck trying. "
She laughs, this time I can tell it was genuine. "Sorry, I made it so easy for him."
"Look, I don't like you being around him, and I'm wishing you won't, but I'm not going to tell you you can't."
"I respect that and you."
Many hours later, I find myself walking on the beach with Rosie. Her fingers are tangled with mine. My feet oozed between the hot sand.
It was so peaceful hearing the waves crash against the rocks, the seagulls fly above overhead, sending a gust of wind blowing through our hair.
"Beautiful day, so relaxing and calm," she tells me.
I nod. "I've always loved the beach."
I feel my body tense up, getting the scent of a werewolf again. At this point, I'm not certain that we are running into them by coincidence, or is Arjun here to see Rosie?
