Chapter 17

Arjun's P.O.V

Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Clearly, I underestimated that she has feelings for the vampire.

"Rosie, calm down."

"I need something to kill," Sai says, his eyes getting that red tint.

Rosie looks at me, and her eyes are huge, it was evident that she was starting to feel afraid. And I have no idea what the vampires told her about us. The last thing I needed was for her to be scared of us and seek comfort in Finn.

"Not in front of the girl."

"Raj's Alpha, not you Arjun."

"Sai, you may leave the beach," Raj orders.

I know many would view us as rabid killers, we honestly don't have a choice. Our wolves go crazy inside of us. Our body burning, and our heads pounding until we make a kill. It literally feels like somebody sets us on fire until we give our animals that life they wanted.

"Let's go get something to drink or eat, huh?"

She looks at me with water still pouring out of her eyes.

"I need to go find Finn." She whispers.

Hearing her say the words she would rather spend time with him over me bothered me a little bit, but what can I expect he got to her first?

"Maybe you should give him some time to cool off." My hand traced her lower lip, and I see her eyebrows cross in confusing.

"I'm not as horrible as the vampire explained."

I watch her as she stands up and turns in the opposite direction. She clearly wanted to run for the hills. Finn Finn Finn. What did you tell my girl?

I gently grab her arm. "Don't go too soon." I give her the most charming look I can think of.

"I really need to go find Finn."

"Rosie, your little cry baby vampire is fine."

Raj laughs, and I almost forgot he was here.

Then I hear Rosie laugh a little too, which makes my heart instantly feel better.

Dropping my hold on her arm, I reach out my hand. "Just for a few hours?" I pout my lower lip at her.

"Fine," she says, rolling her eyes.

Several moments later, I walk into the house of Raj's mate Ivy. She was a very nice girl and offered up her home to the pack. Each of us having our own room and a place to crash it was very helpful.

She would be a good influence on Rosie. Ivy herself was in a relationship with a vampire. Pretty ironic that I am in the same situation with Rosie.

"Ivy, this is my mate Rosabella."

"Beautiful name."

I see Rosabella's cheeks turn red, for a girl who has so many fans, she seems surprised when someone tells her she's pretty.

"Thanks."

"I thought you'd be a good inspirational speaker for my girl here, cuz you see she's in love with a vampire."

I see Rosie across her arms over her chest. "I never said I was in love with him."

"Bull." I walked towards the refrigerator, grabbing a beer.

Ivy throws her head back laughing, her ginger hair nearly touching the floor.

"And how would you be an inspirational speaker?"

I turn around as Ivy lifts up her arm sleeve, revealing the teeth marks up her arms. "Even though I viewed him as a lover, he viewed me as a snack."

"So he just kept feeding on you little bit by little bit."

"Exactly, I was a blood fountain for him, he would drink some blood and more would get produced."

I watch Rosie swallow hard. This was clearly scaring her. It seems a little mean, but it would be best for me if she was scared of him.

"Finn would never hurt me." I hear the confidence in her voice. She certainly believes this. I'm not exactly sure I do. Hell, I don't know he seems to love her.

"All vampires are the same."

I move towards my mate, she watches my every move. For some reason, I was picking up the vibes that she was scared of me, and this was something I was going to squash.

"Come to my room with me."

She nods and we both leave the kitchen.
