Heroes today have only embraced their identity as weapons. And that means our children and their children will be plagued with the same curse.
-Chapter 3 On Good and Evil: What we have Lost with the Dawn of Quirks
____________
Moving trucks and family cars pulled up to the dorms. Boxes were stacked to be moved by siblings and movers. Aizawa stood outside managing movers and his future students. The UA Dorms were gorgeous buildings on par with the rest of the UA campus.
Momo and Todoroki took early move-in times and customized their rooms before any other students got to the dorm. When students arrived, I expected to see Todoroki away in his room but the frosty boy seemed willing to just sit in the public space. His mother was one of the people who helped him move in so it was obvious that Endeavors' fall from grace changed his attitude. Whenever Endeavor attempted to raise his voice, Rei Todoroki was right there with a frozen hand holding him by the ear. It was glorious to watch.
My apartment on the first floor had a One-way window on it so I could have my privacy and still watch the common room at the same time, so I got to watch all the little happenings as students arrived. Zenko and Yako sat on my shoulders watching the married couple move their son into the dorms with mischievous grins.
Next was Ochaco with her floating boxes all tied together like a space tether. Momo recognized Ochaco and they talked for a little while before I saw Ochaco looking around for me since I told her that I got permission to move early.
Bakugo was next and his mother practically had him held by the ear. Doesn't look like much changed with his personality. They quickly unpacked and Bakugo hid in his room.
Tsuyu came in with a cadre of tiny frog children and her parents carrying what they could to her adorable room that would soon look like a pond.
Iida had his family show up next and Tensei looked like he had to speed off after they moved boxes. I saw Iida apologize for being there late even though he had arrived 15 minutes before everyone else, but I saw him going over a very extensive checklist outside while Tensei just groaned pushing him to just go unpack.
Next was the short lettuce head that was the main character. Ochaco greeted him with a smile and though I expected him to blush and shy away, he seemed slightly more confident in himself than he was in canon.
Kirishima, Kaminari, Ojiro, Tokoyami, Mina, and Jirou arrived around the same time and the room common room immediately got ten times louder. This was closely followed by Sato, Hagakure, and Sero. Though I must admit, Hagakure would have slipped past me if I hadn't seen her floating clothes and blue aura.
Shouji came in like a bodybuilder carrying everything he had to his room all at once. Koda came in just after with his bunny but was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of people and rushed to his room to unpack. Aoyama arrived fashionably late.
To my surprise, Shinso walked into the dorms a few minutes after Aoyama with Aizawa behind him. Man, am I glad that I didn't see the grape-headed idiot that was Mineta.
With dinner approaching everyone gathered in the common room to exchange names and quirks. They had time to get introduced to each other unlike in canon where Aizawa shoved them straight onto the field.
Aizawa interrupted them about 15 minutes before the mess hall opened for dinner to give the rules.
"Quiet down, please. We need to go over the rules. Now that the introductions are over it's time to think like a hero. We don't have time for anything more. I am going to lay down the rules.
Firstly, the dorm wings are divided by gender. Curfew is eight pm on the dot. Anyone caught out after will face a warning and then expulsion. The common room is always open.
Second, a teacher will always be on staff in the dorm for your needs as a dorm parent. You will meet them in a moment. Dinner is from six to seven pm for First years.
Third, time after classes should be used for using the school facilities because they will close at Curfew. Classes start at eight am on the dot. Breakfast at the mess hall is open at 6:30."
Eraserhead looked like he was ready to go back to sleep. He hurried through the general rules of human decency and the class schedule for his homeroom before he knocked on my door.
"Come on out, Kyuubi." Aizawa let me walk out to greet the group. Ochaco's eyes opened really big when she saw me and launched herself at me like she usually did. I caught her and she sat back down.
"Hi everyone, my hero name is Kyuubi, you can call me that or by my Last name, Nataka. I will be your dorm mother and ethics teacher here at UA."
Ochaco looked even more surprised than a moment before. Almost everyone else was confused. "You're already a hero? When did that happen? Why didn't you tell me?" Ochaco practically yelled.
"Well, that is a rather recent development. I'll tell you later." I turned back to the group. "Most of you probably don't recognize me. I know Yaoyorozu does but that is probably it. I wrote the book On Good and Evil: What We Lost with the Dawn of Quirks. I graduated from University at the age of 14 with a doctorate in Japanese and World History. I became a hero about a month ago when I was invited to be a staff member at UA. It is a pleasure to meet you all. I hope you all come to enjoy my classes."
Everything seemed to click into place with Ochaco and now she was wearing a big smile. "Any questions?"
The first hand up was Midoriya who had a pink notebook in his hands which already had pages for all of his classmates.
"You haven't had any public appearances yet. Would you be willing to explain your quirk? Doesn't getting your hero license make you the youngest hero in Japanese history? What was your test like?"
Midoriya quickly descended into muttering before looking up embarrassed. "I totally understand your curiosity. I call my quirk spirit fox. It is incredibly versatile but the main part of my quirk that fuels the rest of it is the ability to manipulate stamina. I can steal and use stamina from others to enhance myself or use it to heal wounds. Honestly, the uses of my quirk are incredibly diverse, and you will likely see it used in many ways."
Midoriya was jotting it all down in his notebook. I answered a few more questions about my age and what my classes would be like. I told them that I would be with them as an observer and sometimes participate in their heroics classes when I didn't need to teach a class so they would see plenty of me. They were a little concerned about my age and abilities, specifically Bakugo, but I simply looked at him and pulled his stamina out of him making him collapse on the couch. This was sufficient motivation for anyone else in the class who thought I wouldn't punish them because I was their age.
I could see a grin on Aizawa's face after we finished up for the night and everyone went to bed. "Might need you to use that one for them in their classes for me sometimes."
"Any time." the foxes still sitting on my shoulders grinned alongside me.
