Chapter 13: The Attack Begins

Our new definition of Villain to exclude petty crime and excessive charges is as such: Someone with complete disregard for the healthy, safety, and livelihood of others to the point of willingly crippling said people through means of violence, hatred, or wanton destruction.

-Chapter 4: On Good and Evil: What we have Lost with the Dawn of Quirks

___________

(Ochaco POV)

Today was supposed to be rescue training but the moment we got on the bus; the tension of Mr. Aizawa was extremely noticeable. Admittedly, if Inari hadn't taught me what to pay attention to, I may not have noticed like most of the class. Mr. Aizawa, a usually composed hero, looked tense and nervous. It didn't help that Inari, in her tiny fox form, was poking her little head out of a bag that Mr. Aizawa brought and that she had a nervous glare in her eye.

Something was definitely going on.

If anyone else noticed, then they didn't show it. Tsuyu-Chan was being as blunt as ever and Deku unknowingly made it very clear that that there was a connection between him and All Might. Probably will need to talk to Inari about that one later.

It was enough to distract me from the obviously rising tension. When we arrived, I would have loved to fangirl about Thirteen but she looked just as tense.

"Wasn't All Might supposed to be here?" Aizawa got even more nervous which I didn't think was possible. Thirteen just held up three fingers. If Aizawa got more nervous, he didn't show it. what a professional.

"He will be on his way here soon. He stopped to talk to Principal Nezu." Thirteen turned to us. "Welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint or the USJ for short. Inside this building are zones simulating many different natural disasters, rescue scenarios, and potential villain environments."

Thirteen opened the door walking into the main pathway through the USJ. It was a dream come true. Rescue scenarios surrounded me. I would be spending a lot of time here.

And then the moment that was raising the tension in the atmosphere happened. "It's starting, Students please leave the premises. We are under attack by villains." Thirteen attempted to open the door with her universal control remote on her suit but nothing happened.

"We are being jammed. Time to go with plan B. Students, please sit still." From where we were standing, we could see hundreds of villains in the courtyard at the bottom of the stairs. Standing behind them were four key figures. A man shrouded in mist brought more villains through a portal into the courtyard before dividing them up and sending them away.

A man with hands all over his body and itching at his neck was messing around with a large beaked figure that just stood there as he fussed over the speed of the operation whining about it not moving faster.

The last figure was a woman, she had deep blue skin with purple highlights and two long pointed tails that matched her knife-like claws. She was alluring but obviously dangerous. Inari, from the perch in her bag, looked to be sweating bullets.

A pink mist began to swirl in the courtyard through the vents. Aizawa placed a mask over his mouth. His eyes lit up red. "Protect the students. It's time."

Aizawa began to rush down the stairs. A purple mist formed behind him after he left. "We are the League of Villains; we are here to kill All Might. He doesn't seem to be here." The misted villain looked around at the students. "My name is Kurogiri, I'm sure if we sent some of his precious students to the afterlife, he would show up. Shigaraki would be pleased to see you die, I'm sure of it."

"Not on my watch." Thirteen opened the little latches on her fingers and began to suck as much purple mist as she could.

"Poor matchup thirteen. You'll be the first of many. A portal opened behind Thirteen that released a slight pressure back towards him, but he quickly shut her finger latches and turned towards the portal.

"I may be mostly a rescue hero but that doesn't mean I am stupid." The finger latches reopened and the tiny portal behind her disappeared."

Kurogiri let out a hum of frustration. "Can't have you around if we are going to kill some students. Goodbye." Thirteen fell through a portal at her feet unable to respond this time. "Now students, scatter." Half of the students started to disappear. Tsuyu-Chan was whisked away, Deku too. But before he could place a portal under us large enough to grab all of us, an opaque dome of blue glass surrounded us. Preventing the mist from reaching the rest of us.

"You are a real fool if you thought you could just kill our students." The voice of my best friend reached my ears. "Don't worry kids, just sit tight. This will all be over soon."

Inari smacked Kurogiri with all her might with a ball of stamina, dropping him like a stone. She quickly tied him up, drained him of his stamina so he wouldn't wake up any time soon, and turned back towards the lobby.

Her dome became a glass-like surface instead of the opaque that protected us from Kurogiri's sight.

"I'm sure some of you will want to watch this." Inari gave a confident smirk before turning back into her fox form and rushing towards the stair.

At the bottom of the stairs, the pink gas had disappeared but on the ground were tons of knocked-out villains. Midnight was here and Aizawa had punched through most of the fodder. The remaining fodder had a look of fear on their faces. Only about 40 remained of their massive group.

Then Inari did something I had never seen her do. It irked me that she was hiding abilities from me but this one, I'm glad she never used it in training.

Inari's body slowly morphed from the tiny fox into a thing of nightmares. Her body grew into a large beast. A devilish grin of anger and justice crept its way through her teeth. Her nine tails were as large as some buildings on campus. Just the aura of fear that emanated around her knocked out 20 of the remaining small-fry.

Her large white form with blue and purple accents swirled with her power. A large ball of Stamina began accumulating in her mouth.

The ball of force launched towards the last group of people and exploded on impact, the bodies of the villain's rag dolled to the ground, some sporting burns but all intact. The blast tore through the stamina of the crowd, knocking them all unconscious.

The alluring villain's voice rang through the courtyard. She wrapped her body around the back of the hand villain "It seems we have a problem here handsy, they were quite prepared, and they caught your teleporter. Do you want to keep going or are we done playing?" Her fingers around the hand freaks chin.

"Get your hands off me bitch! Of course, we aren't done, we aren't done till All Might is dead. Nomu, kill Eraserhead. We will handle the fox."

"Tsk Tsk, leave the fox to me handsy. She is mine." She licked her lips and disappeared from the spot reappearing just above Inari's massive fox head.

"Hi, I'm Evelynn, you are quite the beauty, aren't you? Why don't you reverse that transformation of yours so we can play a game?"
