Chapter 10: Do you think she can handle it.

Keisha's heart raced as she heard what Tori had said . "Umm what do you mean by Whispering Pines will never be the same again? , are you from around here or do you have family members living in this small town?". Keisha bombarded Tori with questions. Tori chuckled" well my family has lived here for centuries,but three quarters died a long time ago . Only a few of us are still alive " Tori said staring into space.

"You know you seem weird ,every teenager here is focused on being popular, dating and going to parties but you don't look the part . Though you look spoilt ,even the way you carry yourself I wonder why they said you of all people should help with the ques...urgh don't mind me?". Tori said faking her laughter" no, I do mind what were you about to say what ques...?"Keisha curiously asked

"meant help with the questions ,you're doing business classes right ?". Tori said changing the topic . " Mhmh ..I'm in the business class and also in the sciences class , why do you ask? Keisha replied.

"Oh is it . Must be intelligent to manage two classes , sciences and business classes are quite stressful". Tori said ..." why do you ask ? The rest is none of your business ". Keisha sternly said . "feisty I see , no wonder it's you . Well I need help with accounting modules , you seem good with numbers".

" you don't seem dull ,I hope I won't be wasting my time I'll think about it ". Keisha replied she got up to leave . " Where are you off to "Tori asked .

" Well that's none of your business ". Keisha said .

Keisha was now sitting on the school garden chairs . There were only a few students around . " What do you say we have our wedding right here where we met " ilario said abrutally startling Keisha. Keisha blushed when she heard those words" you must be crazy ,eyy what's your take on Tori .

"why are you asking about her ? ,remember the headmistress was your target " Ilario asked

"well she was but Tori is strange and the things she say sometimes it's like she knows something"

"Her face is familiar, whenever she's close I feel like I've known here for a long time. " Ilario said . "or maybe she's family " Keisha said .

"she can't be I'm the only one remaining . Unless if she's one of the few that managed to remain ,well I also can't pinpoint anything at the moment until I get spiritual senses and be able to know what's in the books . But I'm watching Tori like a hawk and honestly the books don't have much to offer I should try scrolls until I get spiritual senses." Keisha said sounding defeated.

__Boarding house study time ___

"Ladies let's take this study time serious you have 2 hours let's all focus "ma'am Cleopatra emphasized as she went and sat were other two-boarding house teachers were.

Keisha quietly took out a few scrolls she had and started studying them ,looking for possible clues. She felt like someone was looking at her when she raised her head, Tori was looking in her direction giving her a warm smile " strange" Keisha thought and continued with what she was doing.

" so what have you found ". Ilario asked . Keisha had to reply in her mind as she and Ilario had a connection . "Well a few things are adding up ,turns out the books helped us get these scrolls,there is a hidden chamber we have to look for beneath the school . I'm sure they are the last ones we will need . Keisha explained.

"Another collection? And that old chapel ain't it a hidden chamber ?" . Ilario seemed confused. " Well from the map it shows that the old chapel might be a starting point and it seems we got there late since most scrolls were gone . The hidden is our only hope we have to find it before the other rival searching for answers finds it first . And we have to be careful Incase someone sets a trap we can't afford to fall for it". Keisha explained inwardly sounding serious and ready .

" You got a point what else do we have " ilario asked .

" Well each scroll contains cryptic symbols and faded texts I'm sure , maybe hinting forgotten knowledge, the lost magic , the secrets and the realms that I don't seem to know about " . Keisha said sounding ecstatic a bit. " Before you got trapped in the bracelet did you know anything about any realms that exist? Keisha asked .

" Well even if Ive encountered any I don't remember". Ilario said

" Well here on the third scroll it talks about the existence of parallel realms ,each guided by powerful beings. And turns out every scroll I've read states that the bracelet is the key allowing me to transverse between realms". Keisha said feeling as if she was carrying the burdens of the whole world .

" Its a lot of information to take in . Let's take it as an adventure and enjoy it". Ilario said sounding excited a bit.

Keisha sighed continuing with the scrolls. From across the room some girls were watching Keisha attentively. They seemed to know what she was doing as her face expressions changed from time to time. She looked like she was concentrating on something important.

Girl one : " do you think she can handle it ?".she asked in a whispering voice

Girl two: " well I think she can . Considering that the bracelet chose her and the other kingdoms that joined forces to bring back lost magic. Let's just have faith in her and let's not be awkward" . The other girl said .

Girl three : " we have to check if the hidden chamber is safe ,like what we did last time at old chapel. Though now she thinks there's a rival . But she's not the only one searching for answers aswell , but her safety is our priority" . The third girl said ...

" Right ladies study time is over . We giving you ten minutes to finish up ,put your uniforms and books in order , after that it's going to be lights out ". Ma'am Cleopatra said.

Everyone stood up going to their rooms . " What's your interest in old books?" . Zenid suddenly asked startling Keisha. They were all in the room with ,with the moonlight shinning in the room as they had switched off the lights .

" How is it any of your business that I'm reading old books ." Keisha asked as she faced Zenid .

" You seem ready for what's coming. The dark realms mean business " Matilda said covering her head with her duvet . Leaving Keisha with questions....

" What does Matilda know ? ...
