Xin Jian is very skilled in limiting the consequences when a situation gets out of control (usually because of herself).
Let's go back to the beginning.
Xin Jian came down to the scenarios once again and (got lost) stumbled upon a hidden scenario.
(Xin Jian: What are you saying? I'm not lost if I didn't have a final destination in mind to begin with.)
So, she somehow ended up in a house (one way or another) and arrived to the dining room where someone whose face felt vaguely familiar was sitting at the end of the long table with his legs propped up on it and a relaxed demeanor (to look cool).
Xin Jian doesn't know when it started to go wrong. Maybe it was from the moment she entered a stranger's house in the middle of the apocalypse (even though it wasn't her first time), or when she casually sat on a chair when she noticed that someone was there instead of leaving.
She examined the person in front of her. It was a man who looked young, had a medium build with blond short hair that was split seventy-thirty and a pair of emerald-green eyes.
"Hello, fella. What are you doing here? It's strange to see someone so late into the night."
Is that the point?
Maybe there was also something wrong with his brain since he still seemed relaxed despite the fact that a stranger had just come in and sat across him, but she wasn't quite sane either so she couldn't blame him. Moreover, the fact that it was currently the end of the world was an attenuating circumstance for him, not that it prevented Xin Jian from mentally judging him though.
She asked, "Who are you?"
The man, who should have been the one to ask that question, stared at her for a while then smiled.
"I'm a vampire."
Why??
Xin Jian closed her eyes. She usually disliked stories with vampires (at least as its main theme) because they were all the same, especially the 'romance' part, or maybe she simply didn't like it because there was romance.
Then, the 'vampire' seemed to think about it and continued.
"I'm an alpha vampire."
"Okay, I'm leaving."
Xin Jian cut him off and stood up.
A vampire wasn't really a problem, but the novels with an omega universe was the point when she dropped the story.
Moreover, did alpha vampires even exist?
The man added with an amused grin on his face.
"Ah, and I'm also an obsessive type of character."
Xin Jian retorted:
"Didn't you think that saying you were three of my disliked novel tropes in a row would let me guess you had a skill that lets you know what people dislike?"
Indeed, alpha vampires didn't exist. Or else that would be absolutely horrendous and she should just kill herself.
Ah, right, she couldn't. She was immortal.
Then she would assume that it didn't exist because she still wasn't dead and hope that writers would never come up with such an awful idea.
…Or she could just continue to ignore the stories with the tropes she disliked as she has done until now. That was a good idea too.
She made a mischievous expression.
"What if I check, then?"
The man didn't back down and made an ambiguous look while saying, "Are you sure?"
Xin Jian, who had no idea whether being an alpha could be checked or not, didn't flinch and stared at the man up and down.
"Of course, what's the problem? Are you scared that I'll discover you're not an alpha vampire as you said?"
The man laughed.
"Even if it was the case, I wouldn't lose anything. On the contrary, there are not much occasions to have sex at the end of the word."
"Really? I thought it was the contrary."
Unexpectedly, the man accepted.
"Let's do it then."
Looking at the man at the other end of the table, Xin Jian thought about it.
Thousands of years ago, the ones she had made these jokes with were cowards, and whether she liked it or not, she was sure that they would never do anything whatever they may say.
Now, thinking about it, she realized that the man may indeed be serious.
After considering if she really wanted to lose the virginity she had conserved all her life with a stranger for half a second, she then started to search for ways to escape this situation without looking like a coward as her first option.
'Kim Dokja?'
The Oldest Dream didn't answer.
'You traitor.'
Whether he was really dreaming at the moment or not, he had betrayed her.
[The constellation 'Secretive Plotter' sneers.]
While she was in a crisis, an unexpected message appeared.
She looked up at the sky, this guy should remember her from the previous rounds.
She didn't want to lose an argument that she had begun in front of Yoo Jonghyuk 2.0. Moreover, backing down now when she was the one who initiated the matter wouldn't do.
She searched through her memory whether Cale had given her any advice about this situation, but figured that he wouldn't have expected Xin Jian to get into such trouble one day.
"What are you doing? Come here, I accepted. Or do you need me to come to you?"
Following his words, the man stood up and approached with a relaxed demeanor. However, despite the urgency of the situation, Xin Jian wasn't worried.
She considered castrating him when he approached but she felt that she wouldn't have really won then. Or else, she could use this as a pretext to begin an assassination attempt as if it was was she had wanted to do since the beginning.
There were a lot of ways, but the question was which one was the best one.
That was why people shouldn't go to far with ambiguous jokes when they're not serious about it. That ended up getting others killed. But to her defense, she hadn't insisted much, it was the other man who had taken her words seriously.
With the attitude of being used to clean up her own mess and all the experience accumulated by situations degenerating (usually because of herself), Xin Jian asked the question on her mind and tilted her head.
"But, how do we check if someone's an alpha? Do they have a birth mark of something?"
The man paused.
Wow, Xin Jian was amazed at how easily she had solved the situation. Unexpectedly, an innocent question had-
"Don't worry, I'll show you." The man smiled.
…and she should stop jinxing herself, damn it.
So, castration or murder?
Let's not be violent too soon (only in 0.5 seconds), we can still ruin the atmosphere first.
She found the solution.
"Ah, I know. Constellation Secretive Plotter, please use 'Lie Detection' and determine if that man is really a vampire alpha."
"I'm not a vampire alpha, I'm an alpha vampire." He corrected, amused.
[The skill 'Lie Detection' has determined that your statement is wrong.]
Unexpectedly, Secretive Plotter really helped. She had been prepared to create a system message out of thin air if he didn't.
(Second (?) worst reason to waste probability 'escape from sexual harassment caused by yourself' has (thankfully) not happened.)
That's how Xin Jian calmly stood up and left unscathed. The man didn't seem too bothered by it, though.
She turned back briefly and mocked him.
"And I was only joking earlier, did you really think I'd be interested in someone like you."
She stared at him up and down with a look of contempt with the man merely chuckled.
Then, she escaped the scene in a cool manner.
Honor saved! Mission completed (?).
[The constellation 'Secretive Plotter' scoffs.]
Even though she had to use this guy, at least an innocent (?) person wasn't killed by Xin Jian tonight.
'However, where have I seen him before? I can't help but think that he's familiar…'
[The constellation 'Goddess of Sleepy Flowers' smiles.]
Xin Jian's eyes widened and she paused in her steps.
Out of a strange intuition, the Oldest Dream asked her:
「Is there a problem?」
Instead of seizing the opportunity to reproach the Oldest Dream for his betrayal, Xin Jian clasped her hands and replied fanatically.
"A message from the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing, smartest and most magnificent being to ever exist just flashed before my eyes."
「Did you hit your head??」

A monster crept up behind behind Cale, before he had time to notice, the monster died.
He heard a thud behind him and was surprised to see a collapsed monster with a beautiful woman next to it.
The monster was uninjured and seemed to have instantly lost its life.
Cale pretended to be weak and joined the Tarot Club members' group of followers.
He also discovered that staying with such overpowered individuals was a sure way to have his slacker life—but only if Yoo Jonghyuk didn't die in the middle, making him regress as well. However, he couldn't do anything about that part.
Maybe he should search for them next time and simply enjoy his slacker life?
Cale shook his head. He shouldn't get distracted. He would take a long break and rest for now, then search for information later. He had already endured all this bullshit about reincarnating into another world, scenarios starting then accepting to regress for eternity with a sunfish, so he more than deserved it.
