-64- Seven Singularities

"Can't believe Professor Lev is actually..."

In the Control Room, after receiving the report from Mash, Roman fell silent for a long time before sighing.

"No wonder there were so many bombs inside Chaldea. If it was an insider, especially someone like Professor Lev, a trusted technical advisor by the Director, it makes sense."

Roman managed to compose himself quite quickly.

He was that kind of person. Despite being weak and meek most of the time, he could still grasp situations like an enlightened observer and understand various circumstances swiftly.

"So much fire completely consumed Space Singularity F; it was a thorough blaze."

While saying this, Roman turned his head to look in the direction of "Chaldeas."

Mash was puzzled at first but then noticed it too.

"It.....turned red...?"

Yes.

It turned red.

The planet model that simulated the Earth's environment was no longer dim and lifeless, without any signs of human civilization. Instead, it was entirely crimson.

The scene looked as if the whole planet had been engulfed by a massive fire, burning fiercely.

If the previous representation of the planet's human history was a map of the human order shown through "Chaldeas," now it seemed like it was burning.

"Human Order is burning...?"

Rozen murmured softly, and a heavy atmosphere filled the air.

But this was the reality.

Lev had already said it, right?

"The destruction of human history is destined."

Since hearing those words, Rozen had his suspicions.

After all, no one determined that there could be only one Singularity.

"The calamity for humanity hasn't been eliminated, and this burning planet's history itself is evidence."

Roman clearly stated the situation.

Even the technicians in the command room lowered their heads, showing complex emotions in their eyes.

Presumably, when "Chaldea Aries" appeared like this, these people had already noticed and experienced the turmoil.

"This..."

Mash was left speechless.

Now, Mash finally understood why Lev, who attempted to annihilate all of humanity, left on his own, seemingly unconcerned about Rozen eliminating the Fuyuki Singularity.

As Lev himself said, the Fuyuki Singularity was just a remnant.

The true cause of humanity's extinction isn't just limited to the Fuyuki Singularity. Because of this, "Chaldeas" has taken on this appearance.

Therefore...

"Humanity won't be able to reach 2020; the final deadline is the end of 2019," Roman declared with a heavy voice, announcing the outcome.

There were signs to support this conclusion.

"Perhaps you don't know, but now, outside of Chaldea, the entire world is engulfed in flames, just like the Fuyuki Singularity," Roman revealed the grim reality to the two.

"Chaldea is the only place protected by a unique magnetic field, allowing it to survive. But this is only a temporary resistance. Once the time in Chaldea reaches 2020, it will also burn to ashes."

In other words, apart from the people inside Chaldea, all humans in this era have perished. Chaldea has become the last barrier guarding human history. If the people here also perish, human history will be completely eradicated. Humanity will have no future.

"But we still have the past."

Suddenly, Roman's tone changed, and he issued an instruction to the technicians in the command room.

The technicians immediately manipulated the instruments, and "Chaldeas" transformed, displaying a different scene. It was the observation of past eras using "Sheba."

On that image, various Singularities appeared in succession. These were the true Singularities that caused human order to burn.

"There are seven of them, and they are far more impactful than the Fuyuki Singularity from 2004," Roman explained. "They exist during critical turning points for humanity, with the power to fundamentally influence the formation of the present human history. If they are disrupted, human history won't develop to its current state, and without them, humanity has no future."

These seven Singularities were selected as the foundation of human history.

In other words...

"As long as we can repair these seven Singularities, human order can be reestablished, and human history can return to normal."

Roman then looked at Rozen.

"Transferring your Spiritrons to these seven Singularities and eliminate the source of their appearance, allowing history to continue correctly. This is the only way to save humanity."

And there is only one person who can accomplish this.

That person is Rozen.

"The other Master candidates are still being rescued. I didn't dare to release them from their "Cubicles" because they would lose their life signs once outside the protection of the "Cubicles."

"Now, you are the only Master candidate who can still move freely."

"Other than you, no one can save human order."

Roman's voice resounded clearly in Rozen's ears, leaving him in silence.

"Senpai..."

Mash hesitated to speak, looking at Rozen, but no words came out.

Roman also gazed at Rozen, without expectation or hope, just waiting for the result in silence.

In this situation, Rozen realized that his emotions were truly complicated.

Saving human order.

That is the only and certain theme of Chaldea.

However, Rozen hates Chaldea and magus even more.

For someone like him, who detests Chaldea, and despises the magus civilization that gave rise to it, to become the only person who can save human order and carry the significance of Chaldea's existence, it feels ironic.

"It's really ironic."

For the sake of the Chaldea he dislikes and the human civilization of magus he despises, he has to charge alone into seven locations much more dangerous than the Fuyuki Singularity, risking his life to shoulder the future.

He is not such a selfless person.

But...

"Do I have any other choice?"

Rozen smiled helplessly.

It's easy to refuse.

But the result of refusing would be the extinction of all humanity.

Rozen admits that he cannot bear such a heavy burden.

However...

"If I don't do this, I'll die, and so will you, big bro. Even Mash will die. In that case, I have no choice, right?"

This sentence tells everyone what Rozen's decision is.

"Senpai..."

Mash smiled.

"Good greef..."

Roman also breathed a sigh of relief, showing a smile as well.

"That settles it then."

Roman immediately declared.

"From now on, Chaldea will continue its mission to protect human order."

"Our goal is to eliminate the seven Singularities."

"Let us inherit the Director's will and save human order."

Roman made this declaration with a sense of determination.

Completely oblivious to Rozen's peculiar expression when mentioning the "Director's will."

"Uh... big bro..."

Rozen opened his mouth, an odd on his face.

"Actually..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a scream echoed through the room.
