-864- An akward atmosphere

A night of tumultuous events passed.

After the twists and turns of this night, the idyllic paradise Rozen had painstakingly created was nearly destroyed.

The ground was pockmarked, full of craters, even more desolate than before.

Fruit trees lay toppled, with only a very small portion remaining.

The deer herd had been frightened away, seeking refuge in the surrounding mountain peaks, disappearing from sight.

Even the river that spanned the entire basin seemed severed, either filled with rubble or directly destroyed, rendered completely useless.

Naturally, the stone houses that had risen from the ground were also in ruins. Only a very small portion remained intact.

The indigenous people who emerged from the surrounding forests and returned to the basin lamented.

"We finally have this place to escape the battlefield..."

"We finally have a home and food..."

"It's all gone now..."

"Gone..."

Each indigenous person was profoundly saddened.

Fortunately, Rozen was still here.

"Although I suffered some injuries before, and my magic power was depleted, I've replenished most of it using specially crafted healing charms."

So, despite feeling tired and wanting to rest, Rozen chose to act.

Just like before, he first summoned a large number of deer, sheep, and even cattle, chickens, ducks, and more using the Summoning spell.

Then, using the onmyoujutsu, he reshaped the terrain, leveled the land, summoned fruit trees, repaired rivers, and constructed stone houses. By depleting his own magic power as the cost, he recreated a more splendid paradise than before.

As the indigenous people cheered once again, their gaze towards Rozen completely changed.

"Surely, you are a divine being sent by God!"

"An angel! You are an angel!"

"No! This must be a god who came to save us!"

"Oh, god!"

The indigenous people regarded Rozen as a deity, one by one kneeling on the ground, offering worship.

For ordinary people, Rozen, who could display such miracles, and a deity were no different, right?

To become like this was only natural.

In response, Rozen wanted to explain but also felt powerless.

To transform such a large basin, turning it into a utopia, required unimaginable amounts of magic, energy, and effort.

Having depleted his magical energy and reluctant to use the Crimson Wing Formation due to previous severe injuries, Rozen let the indigenous people believe what they wished.

"Once the Singularity is restored, everything here will return to its original state, and my presence will no longer be remembered by these indigenous people."

Since that's the case, he decided to let them continue with their misunderstandings.

After completing everything, Rozen assigned the task of setting up barriers around the basin to his group of Servants. He then retreated into a stone house and fell into a deep sleep.

Of course, before doing so, Rozen contacted Chaldea.

Chaldea had naturally observed everything that happened on this side.

Regarding the Mythical War, Chaldea was unaware, which was quite strange.

"Since it has come to this, success is the only option; failure is not permitted!"

Olga Marie issued such a stern order.

"The opponent is the Celtic Mythology, while our side is an alliance of Greek and Indian Mythologies. Let me witness the outcome of this true Mythical War."

Da Vinci expressed her sentiments.

As for Roman...

"You idiot! Making me worry so much! When you come back, I'm going to give you a piece of my mind!"

In that moment of contact, Roman unusually vented his frustration at Rozen, scolding him vehemently.

Seeing Roman like this, Rozen didn't say anything but could only apologize inwardly.

After all, witnessing oneself impaled by a magical spear must have been incredibly distressing for Roman.

So, Rozen could only apologize to Roman.

"Let me treat you to some cake when I get back, big bro."

Rozen simply said that silently.

Afterwards, Olga Marie claimed that numerous instruments within Chaldea had experienced a massive malfunction, and they might not be able to contact this side again. They would only observe.

"Malfunction?"

Rozen was suddenly puzzled.

"Why would there be a massive malfunction in Chaldea's instruments?"

Rozen found this extremely perplexing.

Unfortunately, whether it was Olga Marie, Roman, or Da Vinci, none of them explained. They just brushed it off.

This forced Rozen to give up pursuing the matter but also made him realize something.

"Why does it feel like there's something subtle between the Director and Roman?"

Yes.

For some reason, the atmosphere between Olga Marie and Roman seemed very awkward, as if both parties were intentionally avoiding each other, becoming distant.

"What's going on?"

Rozen furrowed his brow, contemplating the events within Chaldea that he remained oblivious to.

Unable to get answers, Rozen decided to let go of pursuing this matter for now.

"Now, let's think about how to approach the upcoming war."

The remaining issues could be addressed once he returned.

With that in mind, Rozen lay down and slept for a day and a night. When he woke up, his injuries were completely healed, the lost blood replenished, and his magical energy fully restored, thanks to a technique he developed with the Heaven's Eye. Even without consciously using it, his magical circuits would autonomously convert life force into magical energy.

"Is this also thanks to the Mind's Eye?"

Rozen once again realized the extraordinary level to which he had elevated this skill. Compared to the Mind's Eye, his mastery of other magus skills was not even comparable.

The current Mind's Eye might have even transcended the eight-tier hierarchy of magi, existing independently.

"I wonder if it's possible for other magus skills to catch up to the level of the Mind's Eye and reach the realm of divine."

That should be an impossible task, right?

Rozen adjusted his mental state and then pushed open the door of the stone house he had closed for a day and night.

Upon opening it...

"Whoa!"

Rozen let out a strange cry.

Because there was a massive figure standing in front of his door, like a statue, quietly towering.

"Berserker?"

Rozen was instantly surprised.

It was indeed Berserker.

"Why are you here?"

Rozen couldn't help but ask.

Then...

"Berserker is standing guard to help you, protecting you from further attacks."

A voice explained the reason, entering Rozen's ears.
