-1460- Go on a proper date?

"How many times has this happened already?"

Kanata scratched his head, voicing his thoughts aloud.

"I don't know; I've lost count."

Chloe sighed deeply.

"I see, so this isn't the first time?"

Freon crossed her arms, looking troubled.

But just as the three of them said, this wasn't the first time Yuri had zoned out like this in a public setting.

"Has she been like this ever since the Shinjuku [2] incident?"

Freon turned to Chloe and Kanata for confirmation.

"At least from what I've seen, yes."

Kanata spoke truthfully, spreading his hands.

"This is becoming quite worrisome."

Chloe raised one hand to her cheek, clearly troubled.

This showed that Yuri's condition had reached a level where it was causing significant concern.

Ever since the Shinjuku [2] incident, Yuri had been like this—whether in class, during training, while shopping, or even on missions, she would zone out frequently, and once she did, it was hard to snap her out of it.

Just like now, Chloe and the others were openly discussing Yuri right in front of her, yet she remained lost in her thoughts—something that was uncharacteristic of the usually serious and meticulous Yuri.

However, everyone knew the real reason behind Yuri's condition.

What else could it be but that person?

Thus, Kanata suddenly grinned and turned towards the door, feigning surprise.

"Rozen? What are you doing here?"

As soon as those words left his mouth...

"Sen...Senpai...!?"

Until that moment, Yuri had been in a daze, so lost in thought that even the open discussion about her couldn't snap her out of it. But now, she suddenly came to her senses, frantically turning her head towards the door.

However, the door was firmly closed, with no sign of Rozen.

Yuri quickly realized she had been tricked.

"Ka...Kanata-senpai...!"

Yuri angrily glared at Kanata.

"Ahaha..."

Kanata immediately played dumb, laughing as if nothing had happened, which only made Yuri more exasperated.

As for Chloe and Freon, they could only manage a wry smile.

"Yuri, I know you've been thinking about Rozen a lot, but now isn't the time to be distracted. You need to focus."

Chloe gently tried to reason with her.

"That guy is really a troublemaker. Even you, who usually takes everything seriously, have been distracted during such an important meeting. Maybe he needs a lesson?"

Freon's face was full of displeasure.

"I...I'm not distracted! And it's not because of Rozen-senpai! I wasn't thinking about him at all! Absolutely not!"

Yuri's face turned bright red as she hurriedly explained.

Unfortunately, her behavior was anything but convincing.

"Why don't you just ask Rozen out, since you're so concerned about him?"

Kanata bluntly suggested.

"As...Ask Rozen-senpai out...!?"

Yuri was shocked.

"How about I help you set it up?"

Chloe teased with a smile.

"Chloe-senpai...!?"

Yuri was taken aback.

"I think you should go on a proper date and resolve your issues. We're entering a critical period, and I don't want you being distracted during work or missions."

Even Freon chimed in with this suggestion.

"Even...Even the Sky Wizards Division Head...!?"

Yuri took a step back in disbelief.

This further highlighted how serious her condition had become, worrying everyone around her.

For Yuri's sake, and for the sake of the upcoming work and missions, the three present decided they needed to give her a hand.

"Without further ado, I'll go get Rozen for you."

Kanata immediately activated his Flight Magic and flew out of the office through the window.

"Wait...Wait! Kanata-senpai!"

Yuri could no longer remain calm. She quickly activated her Flight Magic as well and chased after him in a hurry.

The two members of Special Unit S128 took off like they were playing tag, streaking through the sky at an incredible speed in one direction.

Only Chloe and Freon remained, exchanging helpless glances.

"Anyway, regarding the Sky Wizards Martial Arts Festival, I'll notify you later on how we'll select our representative team and make the necessary arrangements."

Freon stated.

"I'm sorry for the trouble. I'll make sure Yuri gets back to normal as soon as possible."

Chloe apologized to Freon.

"No, I should be the one apologizing. Even though the Shinjuku [2] incident was so recent, I'm already burdening you with other matters." Freon said with a serious expression, "However, this time, things don't seem so simple. We'll need to approach this with caution."

"Rest assured." Chloe responded with her usual gentle smile, though her words were firm, "No matter what, I'll protect Mistgun under the title of the Nirvana."

"Thank you." Freon relaxed her expression, saying, "I'm counting on you, Chloe."

Freon placed great trust in Chloe.

This trust even surpassed that in Rozen.

After all, since Rozen stepped down, Special Unit S128 had been fully managed by Chloe as the vice-captain. Freon and Chloe had worked together for years, handling various tasks and missions, forming not just a superior-subordinate relationship but also a deep friendship.

Freon had absolute trust in Chloe, believing she was the one who could carry the future of Mistgun.

"Oh, by the way." Freon suddenly remembered something and added, "Besides the notification about the Sky Wizards Martial Arts Festival, we've also received news that an Armored Beetle researcher from Vebel will be coming to Mistgun soon to collect samples of the newly discovered Shinjuku [2] species for analysis and research into the ecology and weaknesses of the Armored Beetles."

"An Armored Beetle researcher?" Chloe was slightly surprised but then asked, "Do we need to greet them?"

"No, there's no need." Freon shook her head, "The Academy Supervisor sent a message saying the researcher is a friend of hers, so she'll greet them personally."

"I see." Chloe nodded.

Unlike the others who were from Mistgun, the Academy Supervisor was appointed by Vebel and came from the Papal Floating City, not Mistgun.

Each floating city was different—some were student-governed, others were ruled by families or factions, but the highest authority always came from Vebel. In short, it was a form of centralized control.

The current Academy Supervisor of Mistgun was a student from Vebel, currently in her second year of the Information Technology Division. Though she wasn't a Sky Wizard, not even a Wizard, just an ordinary person, she was one of Mistgun's top officials and the head of the Ten-Man Council.

Given that, it wasn't surprising she knew the researcher from Vebel.

"We'll leave that to the Academy Supervisor and focus on preparing for the Sky Wizards Martial Arts Festival."

"Understood."

With that, Freon and Chloe ended their conversation.

Little did they know, this matter would soon lead to a significant upheaval.
