The Game of Chess

Suki and Dae-hyun sat on the grass with Alora and Kiki. Turns out that Dae was Kiki's dad and Jeong-Won's first son that had gotten married.

"Hey, Suks?" Dae called out to Suki, who had gone inside.

"Yeah?" She returned outside and Kiki was sent away.

"You were supposed to be on world tour. What happened?"

"My music company thought it would be better for me to wait a bit." She shrugged. "I don't know why but I would have to find out later."

"Sure. So, Lora, how did you meet Austin?" Dae asked.

"We met at a cafe. No details." She didn't want to lie.

"Alright but, you know sometimes he could be possessive." Suki cautioned her.

"And he refused to go for therapy so, there is not much to it." Dae stated. "Other than that and his bad temper, lust for blood and excessive travelling, he is an amazing person."

She nodded; it was true. He was kind, caring, considerate, a tad bit controlling and overprotective but she could work with that.

"You know, he has never dated anyone." Suki blurted out. "Not that we know off."

"Really? Why don't we play a game of chess." Alora was very good at chess. "If I win, you will dress Kiki like a boy."

Dae gasped. "That's an abomination."

"Including his hair. It must be trimmed."

"And what if you lose?" Suki rose an eyebrow.

"Then, I'll shave my eyebrows."

Dae fell back. "That's just crazy. You can't shave your eyebrows."

"I can. Let's shake on it."

Alora and Dae sat in the living room with a chess board on the table. Alora moved a pawn two steps forward; Dae moved his horse...

"I won." Alora fell to the floor. "Now, you have to dress Kiki properly."

Dae's face was red. "A deal is a deal."

It was already afternoon and Taki, Hana and Kat had just returned from work at their father's company while Li-Na was at another photoshoot. Austin had also cons back from wherever it was that he left to and went to take a nap.

Jiro had watched the game as well as the girls but Jae was the only person that wasn't at home. Harry travelled and his wives were probably in their rooms.

"You are a wonderful chess player." Jiro clapped his hands.

"You can say that again." Hana cheered. All that jubilation, no one heard Austin come down the stairs. His eyes were puffy and red and he surveyed the room.

"Good afternoon, First son." They chanted. He nodded at them and his eyes landed on Alora. She shivered and shrinked down. He dished some food into his favorite plate and took it upstairs without saying a word.
