I'm Not Needy

"Miss Silver, I believe that you will be discharged in the next week." Kuro said joyfully.

"That's great. But why are you the one telling me?" Alora swung her feet. "And why is this bed high?"

"The doctor ordered me to tell you and it's only one foot long."

"Okay." She intensely focused her attention on a vase full of jasmines.

"Are you thinking about Austin?" Kuro questioned.

"Yes. I can't wait to see him again." She fell onto the bed. "It feels like it has been forever. Only two more days before next week Monday. I can probably resume work."

"What is it about this person that you find attractive?" Kuro asked.

"I like that he is kind and thoughtful. Surprisingly, he is a very sensitive, dramatic, overeating person. I find his eyes his most attractive feature." She babbled. "And his collarbone."

"Hmmm? What about it?"

"I don't know." She rolled off the bed."Oww. I hit my arm."

"Yes you do and I have always told you to stop rolling off the bed." Kuro pulled her up.

"Do you think he is coming today?"

"No, he already told you that he was traveling for a business trip." Kuro reminded her.

"I know he did. But I can't help but think that he might come."

"I'm here." Julius entered the room. "I am Austin's substitute."

"Did you bring any of his clothes?" She demanded.

"No." Julius answered with an eyebrow raised.

"Then, you are absolutely useless to me." Alora fell back on the bed.

"You know, you can actually call him." Jul suggested.

"I want to." Alora glanced at her phone. "But I don't want to seem needy."

"I think he is feeling the same way." Kuro looked over at Julius. She knew him but that was would give her away.

"He does?" She smiled. "But, it's not like I can do anything about it."

"Take the damn phone and call him." Kuro threw her phone at her. She caught it and dialed a number.

[Hello. Good afternoon Alora.]

'It's him.' Her eyes widened with joy. 'Just hearing his precious voice is enough for me.'

"Afternoon Austin." She made a gesture, indicating that both Kuro and Julius should leave the room. Jul gave her a thumbs before stepping out.

She sighed then, she took a deep breath.

"I miss you."

[I miss you.]

"It's like we are thinking the same thing." She laughed.

[But, I'm serious.]

"I know. Please come back. I think I'm going to die if I don't see you." She pleaded.

[No, can't do.] There were gun shots in the background as well as sounds of exploding bombs and screams. [But I can send you a picture.]

"Okay, but aren't you in the middle of something?"

[But I'll do anything for you.]

Her phone buzzed and she checked her mails. "I have seen the picture. I'll send you one too."

[Alright. I have to run now. Literally. I love you.]

Alora's skin tingled. "I love you too."
