Nothing To Lose

Austin had bathed Sally and took his bath before retiring for the night. Sally hugged him tightly; she felt safe in his arms.

It reminded her of the old days.

"Umm." Young Sally hid behind his back. "The house is huge. Is it another brothel?"

If it was, she was going to take the pistol in his pocket and shoot herself. He picked her up and carried her into the house.

"It's not a brothel." He replied indifferently. "This will be your new home."

"Home, me?" She buried her head in his chest and held onto him.

He reached a door and opened it. He closed it then, locked the door twice. He dropped her on the bed and sat on the chair with his legs crossed.

She stared around the room, admiring the soft splash of warm colours that lingered on the walls. The room was feminine but it possesd the qualities of masculinity.

"The bath is running. Do you need me to bath you?" Austin asked softly, bringing her back from her oblivion.

"I...er...." She stammered and blushed. He walked over to her and pulled off his shirt from her slender body. One look at her could tell him that she had been through enough.

He put her in the tub and poured showed gel all over her body. Gently scrubbing her red hair, he patted her shoulder and left the bathroom.

"I'll go get you good and clothes. You can finish up " He called out.

She didn't respond and began washing herself l. Whenever she was done, she covered herself with a towel and walked out.

Austin was sitting on the chair he had vacated, eating a slice of chocolate cream cake. He was wearing clean clothes and it was obvious that he had just taken a bath, considering how messy and wet his black hair was.

He looked somewhat attractive and adorable and she couldn't help but feel like brushing his hair.

"Are you going to get dressed or are you going to stand there?"

He pointed to the clothes on the bed and she moved to carry them. She went into the bathroom, dressed and came out.

He pointed to the tray of food on the bed and she didn't hesitate to pull the tray to the floor and sat there to eat.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm eating, sir." She said, her voice squeaking with fear.

"Call me Master Cannon and why are you sitting on the floor?"

"My old master said that I should sit on the floor. I'm unworthy of sitting with my masters." She said sadly.

"In that case," He sat on the floor with her. "I'm unworthy of sitting on the chair."

Blushing, she waved her hands in panic. "I didn't mean it like that. You can't sit in the floor."

He tilted his head in confusion. "Why not?"

"Because you are my master and my master cannot sit on the floor." She explained.

"Okay, you will sit on the bed." He stood up and pulled her up.

After they finished eating, a maid carried their plates away.

"You are sleeping with me tonight." Austin pulled her into the bed. "I am offering you a good life." He whispered. "Will you accept or will you decline? What will you choose?"

"I'll accept." She said after pondering for a while. She had nothing to lose.
